Marketing Communications Specialist in Annapolis, Maryland

The Marketing Communications Specialist works within the Brand and Marketing Communications team to help execute integrated communications plans and create compelling copy that engages and informs target audiences. You will be responsible for creating social media campaigns and the day-to-day management of social media channels and will directly contribute to building awareness and thought leadership through the development of stories, articles, press releases, and marketing content. Exceptional writing skills are essential, as are strong interpersonal skills, an eagerness to learn, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Social media management for key social media channels, like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter

Create and maintain content calendars for social media channels

Write detailed press releases, social media posts, and other content as required

Develop and grow employee advocacy social media content for colleagues to share through their personal social media channels

Measure social media results including engagement, conversions, and followers

Tracks media relations activities and provides status reports

Maintains a strong understanding of all business segments’ offerings, customers and positioning and incorporates that knowledge into content

Aligns and adjusts marketing plans by consistently looking for best practices and seeking market data on key trends
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English or related field preferred; or equivalent education and experience
Required Experience:
· Minimum 3+ years of experience in managing B2B social media content and platforms
· Fluent in AP style
· Strong writing and proofreading skills
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects and consistently meet deadlines
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Experience using social media software, like Sprout Social
· Experience in Tax & Accounting industry desirable.
· Excellent quantitative/analytical skills.
· Excellent time management, decision making and organization skills.
· Flexible, self-starter, analytical, creative, and entrepreneurial team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
· Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
Travel Requirements:
· Up to 15% domestic travel required, primarily air travel.
Compensation:
Target salary range for New York: $70,200-$97,150
