This hybrid role blends the creativity of marketing with the discipline of reputation management, with a strong emphasis on channel marketing for Wholesale clients in the UK.You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing integrated marketing campaigns, enhancing client engagement, and ensuring consistent messaging across all channels, as well as taking the lead in activating AllianzGI’s global media and internal communications strategies in the UK. This position offers a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally, reporting directly to the Head of Marketing Northern Europe & Global Clients, with a dotted line to the Lead Global Media.What you will doMarketing:

• Global Campaign Management: Deliver global campaigns locally, adapting and translating materials to meet local compliance and needs
• Local Marketing Strategy: Develop strategic and tactical marketing plans for the UK Wholesale client segment in collaboration with sales
• Content and Communication: Curate, distribute, and maintain content for local channels, including social media and websites
• Event Management: Plan and execute local events and presentations
• Digital and Social Media: Manage local websites and social media content, ensuring alignment with global strategies
• Brand and Sponsorship: Implement local brand initiatives and sponsorship activities in alignment with global strategies
• Analytics and Reporting: Analyze campaign success against KPIs and report to management.
• Budget Management: Plan and manage activities within the marketing budget, maintaining control and addressing issues early
• Product Development Support: Support local product marketing initiatives, including launches and client communications
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all materials and activities comply with local regulations, including Consumer Duty requirements

Communications:

• Relationship building: Maintain relationships with key journalists across national print, online and broadcast media, as well as specialist financial trade press in the UK
• Interview management: Arrange and attend press meetings with UK-based spokespeople & UK journalists, preparing briefings when necessary
• Press announcements: Write UK-focused press releases for distribution to local press, maintaining local media distribution lists
• Media strategy: Support the Lead Global Media in the localization of AllianzGI’s global story and expertise, adapting and distributing global media announcements, contributing to global coverage round-ups and reports
• Social media: Support the preparation of social media content for senior spokespeople
• Internal communications: Take the lead organising local internal events and write local internal news stories as required

What you bring

• At least 5 years of professional experience in marketing, within a financial services environment, preferably asset management. Experience within public relations, employee communications or corporate communications. Master’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, integrated communications, or closely related field

Strong understanding of channel marketing and digital campaign execution

• Product knowledge across various asset classes
• High client centricity
• Excellent Communication skills, written and verbal (English as a first language), with an ability to articulate ideas in different formats and situations for different audiences
• Proficiency with Microsoft suite, in particular PPT. Digital skills a plus
• Knowledge of AI tools such as Microsoft CoPilot and DeepL
• Strong eye for detail and accuracy, be it written, visual or numerical communications
• Proven intercultural skills and an international outlook and desire to work as part of a wider global team
• Integrity – understands the importance of representing the company and its values
• Curiosity – interested to learn and grow as a communication and marketing professional
• Tenacity – recognizes that some of the most rewarding experiences come from being challenging

• Proficient with professional communications standards, including writing style guides and corporate communication best practices, utmost attention to details and excellence
