Job Description

Marketing Communications Manager

The Hotel Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing and communication strategies to enhance the hotel’s brand visibility, attract guests, and maintain effective communication with internal and external audiences. This includes supporting Director or Marketing Communications in overseeing various aspects of marketing and communication strategies to promote a hotel or a hospitality establishment.

This position is responsible for key areas of media coverage, collateral and publications, special events/promotions, community relations and advertising with the objective of generating revenue in mind. 

Employment will be under local contract. Open for Indonesian citizen only.

What you will be doing:

  • Marketing Strategy: Together with Director of Marketing Communications, develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to increase the hotel’s occupancy rates and revenue. This may include online and offline marketing campaigns, promotions, and partnerships.
  • Brand Management: Maintain and strengthen the hotel’s brand image through consistent messaging and visual identity across all marketing materials and communication channels.
  • Digital Marketing: Oversee the hotel’s online presence, including the website, social media platforms, email marketing, and online advertising. Monitor and optimize online marketing efforts to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Public Relations: Build and maintain relationships with the media, travel bloggers, and influencers to secure positive press coverage and generate buzz about the hotel. Manage public relations activities, such as press releases and media events.
  • Content Creation: Develop and curate content for various marketing channels, including written content, images, videos, and other multimedia materials. Ensure that all content is engaging, informative, and aligned with the brand’s messaging.
  • Advertising: Plan and execute advertising campaigns in various media outlets, such as newspapers, magazines, radio, and online platforms. Monitor the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments within the hotel, such as sales, events, and F&B, to create integrated marketing and communication plans. Ensure that all departments are aligned with the hotel’s marketing objectives.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Use data and analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, website traffic, and guest feedback. Generate reports to assess the ROI of marketing efforts and make data-driven decisions. Maintain good working relationships with local and international media.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience in hotel or hospitality marketing and communications, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, SEO, and social media platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing and analytics tools.
  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English language.
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint.
  • Creative and strategic thinking.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Detail-oriented and highly reliable in thorough execution and follow-through.
  • A team player & builder.
  • A motivator & self-starter.
  • Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times.
