Description of Work Unit Founded in 1870, Colorado State University is among the nation’s leading research universities and enrolls approximately 32,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. The Division of University Marketing and Communications oversees Marketing and Brand Management, Communications, Community Affairs and Engagement and Social and Digital Media. The division is composed of experts who manage the brand reputation of the university. In partnership with administration and all divisions, departments and colleges, the Marketing and Communications Division positions the university to successfully recruit students and maintain Colorado State as a top-of-mind university of choice.
Position Summary Colorado State University (CSU) Division of University Marketing and Communications (MarComm) seeks a visionary candidate for the position of Marketing and Communications Coordinator. This is a one-year temporary position, responsible for working collaboratively with MarComm teams to promote programs and initiatives to internal and external audiences through compelling multimedia storytelling, particularly through video. This position is responsible for multimedia project production in support of the CSU mission and objectives.
The position incorporates best practices and innovations in multimedia/video production within a collaborative storytelling process. The Marketing/Communications Coordinator will gather interviews and statements to tell a compelling story about democracy. The position will act as liaison between political candidates and analysts with diverse views and ideas. Additionally, the position is responsible for management of the marketing team to create a platform for social media, news outlets and promotion and branding for film, as well as management of all aspects of logistics with politicians, speakers and students.
Required Job Qualifications
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Minimum of six months of successful experience in a similar documentary film production role
  • Proficient in Adobe Software (Premier Pro, After Effects, Photoshop)
  • Demonstrated successful content creation skills
Preferred Job Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in digital brand management
  • Ability to use technology for communication, including social media posts
  • Experience working on a similar project in higher education
