Marketing Assistant (UG Market)

ABOUT THE TEAM

Within the Undergraduate Marketing Team we deliver a range of services including digital, CRM, advertising. 

We work in a hybrid function with the Newcastle office as our base two days a week (Subject to change).

This role sits within the CRM & Conversion marketing function and will work directly with another marketing assistant and the UG conversion coordinator.  

ABOUT THE ROLE 

 General Duties and Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for area of work, completing work to time

• Have a solution focused attitude, flagging issues and thinking through workarounds

• Be required to undertake specific responsibilities for adhering to rules around systems, including but not exhaustive of, procurement processes, finance systems requirements, CRM systems social monitoring, marketing mailbox

• Represent GMB positively across university and to other stakeholders where appropriate. Develop and maintain good relationships.  Deputise for manager where appropriate.

• Develop expertise and knowledge in your area of work

Specific Responsibilities

· Provide support to Marketing Coordinators and Managers to deliver conversion marketing activity against a range of KPIs across a number of conversion channels

· Using adobe creative packages to create communications of a high standard, such as email headers, content pods.

· Support in the development of conversion activity within the undergraduate market, writing engaging e-mail and web content, as well as developing and writing targeted telecentre scripts

· Building and writing copy for key conversion channels.

· Assist in the preparation of statistical and other data, including email results, analytical web data and wider campaign reports.

Establish and maintain appropriate files and records, both manual and computerised, relating to the activities undertaken, ensuring compliance with GDPR and CMA requirements

· Provide general administrative duties such as responding to general enquiries

· Provide administrative support for all activities, which fall under the marketing team’s remit, and assist in co-ordination of workload within the team
