Join us as Marketing & Sales Manager for the Electrification Business Area where you will be accountable for defining and implementing sales and marketing strategies for the assigned are proactively leading, developing and coaching the Marketing & Sales department; and managing the marketing and sales action plans to both achieve the key qualitative and quantitative targets in a profitable way, and to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Reporting to Region Division Manager and this position will be based in Sungai Wey, Petaling Jaya.

Your responsibilities

  • Creating, planning, and implementing the marketing and sales strategy for the assigned area in accordance with the global marketing and sales strategy, and budget and efficiency targets
  • Establishing marketing and sales targets and ensuring their achievement through regular oversight, and defining and implementing of improvement plans as needed
  • Achieving assigned order intake, margin, and related objectives for the entire product portfolio. Driving evaluation of potential new and existing customers and their needs and leads the team in a proactive post-sales approach with a focus on solutions
  • Handling product marketing, industry, segment marketing and strategic and tactical marketing plan to support the relevant organization. Overseeing market, competitive analysis and market segment definition activities, ensuring the market is monitored by developing and maintaining efficient marketing tools
  • Developing relationships with key customers and other decision makers. Responsible for planning and implementing customer surveys, analyzing and acting on the results in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Identifying, monitoring, and maintaining/exceeding the sales market price levels, evaluating pricing impact on the results. Ensures achievement of sales volume and product mix targets by setting appropriate price and margin for individual sales opportunities besides managing ongoing costs
  • Monitoring client financial status and reporting any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams. Responsible for identifying and managing risks relating to contract agreements and prices across customers/channels
  • Overseeing the marketing and sales processes, and all relevant training and development plans, actions and programs. Ensuring (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Coaches, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Drives and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration

Your background

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of commercial leadership experience in large, complex, fast-pace, matrixed, innovative industrial organizations, with direct management of large sales and marketing teams preferably in product business
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the design and execution of commercial plans and strategies
  • Ability to create and communicate marketing messages and value propositions effectively to the sales and marketing force and customers
  • Experience in dealing and understanding of the global industrial and commercial market, especially as it relates to the ecosystem of channel partners, direct sales, segments, solutions & digital selling, and the evolving e-commerce landscape
  • Strong problem solving, learning agility and ability to deal with shifting priorities and issues. Ability to supervise and manage multiple projects at the same time. Results focused and able to work well under pressure and against tight deadline
  • Analytical and strategic in consolidating data into valuable information for the business to act upon. Capacity to conceptualize as well as operationalize commercial strategies
  • Demonstrated ability for leading and building organizational capabilities, robust systems and processes and culture of high performance/excellence in marketing and sales. Ability to lead and develop talent with a proven track record of doing so. Experience at working in a “performance based” environment to foster it within the team and fluency in English language is a must
