Role responsibilitiesStrategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute a clear, effective marketing and communications strategy aligned with WFTV’s goals.
- Create and manage an integrated editorial calendar across all channels.
- Align marketing activity with key project milestones and organisational priorities.
- Use audience insights and data to inform strategy and adapt plans as needed.
Campaign Delivery:
- Design and deliver creative, high-impact marketing campaigns for WFTV’s programmes, events, and advocacy initiatives, including professional development schemes and the WFTV Awards.
- Coordinate marketing support for internal and partner-led events and campaigns.
- Manage content delivery across all channels including social media, email, website, and press.
Brand & Voice:
- Uphold and champion WFTV’s brand identity and tone of voice across all communications.
- Manage brand assets and ensure consistent application across digital and print.
- Create templates for social media, newsletters, presentations, and event materials.
Member Communications:
- Lead communications aimed at members, including newsletters, event promotions, surveys, and storytelling content.
- Manage Mailchimp, including audience segmentation, automations, billing, and GDPR compliance.
- Produce regular member updates and third-party newsletters aligned with organisational priorities.
Content Creation:
- Oversee the production of high-quality digital content – articles, videos, blogs, and social media assets.
- Edit both short-form and long-form video content for events and campaigns.
- Design a range of materials including sponsorship packs, award graphics, presentation decks, and event invitations.
- Manage website content including the resource hub, press releases, and blog posts.
Insight, Analytics & Reporting:
- Track and analyse performance data across platforms (Wix, Google Analytics, Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Vimeo).
- Produce monthly performance reports with actionable insights for internal teams, stakeholders, and the Board.
- Use data to refine strategies, improve campaign effectiveness, and boost engagement.
- Compile post-campaign and sponsor reports to demonstrate impact and inform future planning.
Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with the Events, Mentoring, Membership, and Projects teams to ensure message consistency and impact.
- Support the CEO and Board with materials for sponsorship, advocacy, and strategic initiatives.
- Represent the marketing function in stakeholder meetings.
- Coordinate press and media activity in partnership with WFTV’s external PR agency and other key stakeholders.
Website & Data Management:
- Maintain and update key pages of the WFTV website in line with brand and campaign goals.
- Ensure SEO best practices and optimisation across the site.
- Oversee WFTV’s MemberSpace platform, ensuring seamless access to member-only content.
- Maintain GDPR compliance and resolve technical issues across platforms (Wix, Mailchimp, MemberSpace, social tools).
- Act as lead for WFTV’s CRM system, managing setup, functionality, and ongoing use.
Social Media:
- Lead social content planning, scheduling, and publishing across all platforms (X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Threads, BlueSky).
- Use Hootsuite for scheduling, engagement tracking, and performance analysis.
- Develop hashtag strategies, uphold brand tone, and drive community engagement.
- Align social media activity with organisational events and campaigns.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver timely and effective communications for sponsors and partners.
- Lead on campaign planning and reporting for third-party and advocacy-driven content.
- Represent WFTV’s communications in external meetings and planning sessions.
Person specificationsEssential:
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in digital marketing and communications.
- Strong strategic thinking with hands-on delivery capabilities.
- Proven experience in multi-channel marketing, including web, email, and social media.
- Proficiency in platforms such as Mailchimp, Wix, Canva, Hootsuite, Google Analytics, and CRM systems.
- Excellent copywriting, editing, and storytelling skills across different formats and audiences.
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
- Experience managing content calendars, freelancers, and creative assets.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams and with external partners.
- A clear passion for gender equality and WFTV’s mission.
- Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
Desirable:
- Experience within a membership organisation or non-profit.
- Familiarity with the film, television, or wider cultural sectors.
- Knowledge of tools such as Zoom, Typeform, and additional CRM platforms.
- Awareness of accessibility and inclusion best practices in communications.
