About The Role:

We’re looking for a creative storyteller who can collaborate, lead and inspire others to find new solutions for our brand. As a part of the Corporate Marketing team, the Video Manager provides essential brand management, video support and video project management for the business. The individual will manage the entire video process and strategy, from brainstorming and scripting through overseeing production and post-production to produce engaging internal and external videos supporting the firm as a whole, as well as specialised videos supporting our segment and industry needs.

This position will report to the Director of Global Creative and Brand and work in tandem with the Video Marketing Manager in the United States to expand the video offering to our EMEA locations. 

The role calls for proven ability to interpret stakeholder goals and messaging and translate that into compelling videos and animation that reflect the FTI Consulting brand. The individual will work with various subject matter experts across the business, welcome collaboration with colleagues, have a positive, can-do approach and a proactive attitude, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ideal candidate should feel comfortable and confident sharing their creative knowledge with those around them and understand the power of great video and how to best to execute based on research, goals, objectives and audience. The preferred candidate is solution-oriented and is comfortable working in a deadline-driven environment, where projects are often needed under tight timeframes and high-stake conditions. This person will be a pivotal role in the development and growth in the creative team and has the ability to make a big impact.

What You Will Do:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to translate objectives on key internal and external projects and initiatives into compelling, creative videos. Act as project manager taking videos from inception through delivery, including, but not limited to:
  • Own pre-production, including research, assisting with script development, finding/booking vendors, production crews and talent as needed.
  • Create storyboards, visual treatments or shot lists as needed for projects.
  • Supervise all aspects of video shoots in studio or on location as needed and be comfortable with directing videography teams remotely.
  • Edit or oversee editing, including researching stock footage and inserting b-roll, sourcing and inputting sound and music, writing voice overs and motion graphic development.
  • Digitally splicing film and video and synchronizing them into one rough cut file.
  • Improving and correcting lighting, colouring, audio and faulty footage.
  • Pack and archive all assets: raw footage, project files and final deliverables.
  • Create guidelines and templates to help FTI Consulting professionals with the video production experience (self-filming best practices, storyboards, etc.).
  • Manage video production editorial calendar, including creation of video production estimates and schedules.
  • Ensure brand and video guidelines are maintained across segments and regions.
  • Assist in the education and reinforcement of brand guidelines and best video marketing practices among regional marketing teams.
  • Offer creative expertise to help guide/execute the creation of video elements to be leveraged by global marketing teams.
  • Contribute to the development of the corporate video strategy.
  • Coordinate production with outside agencies, ensuring brand guidelines and protocols are followed.
  • Be immersed and knowledgeable in current trends of videography, production gear and editing.

What You Will Need:

  • Creative decision-making skills and excellent use of independent judgement.
  • Incredibly organised, especially with multiple projects in production simultaneously at various stages of completion.
  • Ability to create, compose and edit written materials, storyboards, outlines and scripts.
  • Proficiency in editing and overseeing edits with a keen sense of pacing and style.
  • Extensive knowledge of producing and proven experience owning video projects from concept through delivery.
  • Adept at translating goals into inventive video concepts and formats, both live action or motion.
  • Knowledge of professional audio/video and staging techniques, facilities and equipment.
  • Knowledge of audio/video tape storage and archiving procedures.
  • Strong communication skills, including listening, verbal and written.
  • Must be able to interact, communicate and collaborate with a wide variety of individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Decisiveness and excellent use of independent judgement
  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills are required
  • Attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a professional environment both on a team and independently.
  • Ability to travel internationally when required.

Basic Qualifications (or equivalent):

  • Bachelor’s degree with focus in video editing, film production or communications.
  • Minimum 5 years of videographer/editor experience (preferably at a professional services firm or digital agency).
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects).
  • Proficiency with Zoom and Teams recording and posting/transferring to various platforms (YouTube, etc.)
  • Portfolio demonstrating industry-level video production values and editing techniques required (examples of pre-pro process, storyboards, shot lists a plus).

Preferred Qualifications (or equivalent):

  • Familiarity with Blender, Audition, Audacity, Word, PPT, Illustrator and Photoshop
