Overview
The Brand Manager, Liquor will actively contribute to the Brand Strategy & Planning Marketing team and act as a champion of Liquor division marketing efforts across both our standalone store model and within in the provinces where our business is integrated in retail. This role will serve as the marketing lead in the following areas.
Job Description
- Develop, plan, and execute the implementation of liquor strategic marketing activities, retail marketing programs, both in-store and out of stores with a robust emphasis on digital and social marketing.
- Lead Brand strategy development, working in partnership with Director – Full Service Brand Marketing, VP Liquor and key Liquor team stakeholders, to develop Liquor brand strategies that support banner goals, sales and market share targets
- Responsible for the management of advertising, digital marketing, in-store communications, go-to-market planning, and campaign analysis and post-reporting.
- Develop creative marketing briefs and responsible for sharing with internal teams and agencies.
- Oversee program integration across channels, negotiating activities between departments and execution for print, social and digital.
- Oversight of campaign and advertising production for Discount brand campaigns; including flyer, POS, radio, TV, and digital content.
- Maintain brand expression and standards for liquor banners across all channels.
- Contribute to the annual Marketing business plan for Liquor within the context of Full Service and Liquor marketing division.
- Maintain brand expression and standards for Liquor division across all channels.
- Responsible for budget management and reporting for own marketing program.
- Manage with the support of the Field Marketing team, sponsorship, event and donation activities for the Liquor division and contribute to decision making for new requests
- Work in collaboration with Consumer Insights team, to review program results and prepare recommendations to improve the effectiveness
- Provides input to Marketing Services team in translating brand vision into customer communication products such as flyer
- Collaborates with Digital to maintain the website and social properties, current, relevant and on brand
- Collaborates with merchandising to support go-to-market strategies for Liquor division
Job Requirements
- An Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of 7-10 years of relevant marketing experience
- Demonstrated ability and experience in managing marketing within a highly regulated/ legal environment – ie: Bev Alcohol, Pharmaceutical, NHP products
- Strategic thinker with the ability to sell ideas internally throughout the organization as well as externally with third parties
- Strong marketing and business acumen; an ability to drive for results
- Proven track record of collaborative leadership
