Position Overview:

  • Conceptualize, execute, and analyze go-to-market plans for accountable portfolio

  • Aid in the development & implementation of new strategies and marketing approaches to help foster brand health

  • Accountable for the achievement of direct contribution, market share and budgeting targets

  • Responsible for the design and delivery of the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) plan that successfully delivers against key business goals and KPIs

  • Leads the Canadian marketing e-commerce strategy & roadmap, building support plans that influence online purchase

Major Duties:

  • Identifies, develops, and recommends an annual consumer and customer go-to-market plan that will help grow brand sales, market share and/or profits.

  • Leads the development and implementation of go-to-market strategies and marketing communication plans for accountable segments, ensuring alignment with Global and Canadian business objectives.

  • Develops and implements local marketing plans in partnership with Global Marketing and Canadian cross functional teams.

  • Works in close collaboration with the Sales team to develop joint business plans for our customers.

  • Responsible for strategic business reviews and pro-actively develops contingency plans throughout the business cycle due to shifting internal /external factors.

  • Practices excellent brand management fundamentals, through strong grasp of analytics and P&L management.

  • Develops fact-based recommendations for volume targets, local market pricing strategy & distribution strategy.

  • Responsible for budget planning, management, and required financial approvals.

  • Partner closely with Canadian Merchandising team on the development and execution of the in-store experience, rooted in analytics and aligning with brand strategy.

  • Partner closely with Canadian Sales Team ensuring clear links are established between Marketing & Sales strategies to maximize impact and ROI of consumer messaging in Canada.

  • Builds strong relationships with Global and US counterparts to ensure timely information exchange and collaborate to build local market business solutions for identified issues and challenges.

  • Educates and advocates for Canadian market needs to deliver upon local market opportunities and objectives.

  • Share learnings on competitive positioning, products, brands, and marketing activities.

  • Liaise with Sales on e-commerce strategy and execution. Overseeing the delivery of ecommerce content & development of key promotions and marketing campaigns on retailer e-commerce platforms

  • Establishes effective benchmarks for measurement of campaign performance with clear KPIs and ROI measurement.

  • Defines best practices for analytics and ensures consistent, ongoing benchmarking and analysis of performance, including making data-driven recommendations to improve future success.

  • Identifies opportunities to drive innovation and competitive differentiation for the organization through digital technologies and consumer experiences.

  • Leads local Media, PR, & Social agencies (and other partners as needed) to develop best-in-class consumer communications.

  • Provides strong leadership and guidance to agency partners.

  • Develop detailed briefing documents, provide organized and actionable feedback, manage KPIs and evaluation

  • Ensure agency partners are educated and updated on key business objectives, challenges, and results

  • Performs other related duties as required

Experience

  • 5+ years related business experience within marketing/communications/media.

  • Experience in media planning and strategy development, focused on digital; Knowledge of Canadian media/influencer landscape, and e-commerce experience strongly preferred

  • Experience within the cosmetic or consumer packaged goods industry and/or experience marketing to the drug, food and mass merchandiser channels preferred

  • Proven ability to plan and execute projects on time while juggling multiple priorities, with a proven ability to set goals and prioritize among many important projects

  • Demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, summarize, and present data, information, and conclusions.

  • Is self-motivated and exhibits business maturity, drive, and passion in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with multi-functional stakeholders .

  • Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.

  • Working knowledge of Nielsen MarketTrack and Customer Point-of-Sale data.

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, Communications or other related field
