Job description: *This role is exclusive to Sharp & Carter.About the roleAs a talented Lawyer you will work across multiples business units providing timely and accurate legal advice in conjunction with the General Counsel. The pace will be fast and fun, and you can be expect to play an integral role in upcoming projects, whilst attending to the daily BAU. This is a truly diverse role, but some of the tasks you can expect to:

• Draft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute commercial contracts as well as provision of contract-related issue resolution, both internally and externally. These will include procurement, distribution, licencing, property and employment; utilising both standard and non standard agreements;
• Working hand in hand with marketing and sales departments to facilitate quick turnarounds in a rapidly evolving environment;
• Assisting the General Counsel with ad hoc tasks and strategic project based work in the areas of digital, privacy and sustainability/ESG;
• Triage of Litigation and liaising with external legal service providers and regulator; and
• Project based work as it arise couple with presentation of seminars to stakeholders on key areas which affect the business

About youYou will be a 5+ year PQE Lawyer, perhaps already in house, or in top/mid tier private practice and curious about your first move to a legal team within business. Whatever your background we know you will have some great skills to bring to the table based on your general commercial law experience. Exposure to IP and consumer/competition law will be helpful for this position as well as a natural curiosity and willingness to upskill in unfamiliar practice areas.This is one of the most exciting roles we have seen in the in-house space this year, and we are excited to answer any questions you may have. Expected salary: $160000 – 180000 per year
