The Role

To be able to develop and lead programs, support teaching teams and contribute in the development of the subject area. To provide excellent teaching to the university in the relevant areas of expertise. Of particular interest are applicants who can teach across marketing and management disciplines as well as teach on research methods. To be an active citizen of the subject group and the Department, engaging with international collaborative partnerships, and work closely with local business communities. To have a portfolio of research activities that offer realistic prospect of publication in international refereed journals. 

The Person

You will be educated to master’s degree level or higher (PH. D preferred) and have experience of teaching and assessment in UK Higher Education. You will have proven academic/industry experience – with extensive knowledge and expertise related to Advance Marketing Analytics, Digital Marketing, Research Methods, Social Media Marketing, Strategic eMarketing, and Strategic Customer Engagement. You will also need to contribute specialist knowledge and skills in one or more of the programs specialist areas of marketing. 

Key responsibilities of the post holder

Contribute to the development of subject area and related programs of study. Lead modules, plan, and deliver excellent teaching that stimulates the interest of students in the subject area and is relevant to practice. Support students in their learning activities both in the academic setting and within practice. Develop and implement suitable assessment strategies for both theory and practice components. Establish and carry out a portfolio of research activities that offer realistic prospect of publication (as evidenced in either track record or pipeline of papers). Actively contribute to the development of international activities and engage with local stakeholders. Perform other Departmental roles as may be required, including the tutoring of students, preparing relevant course reports and attending course boards as professionally required. This job description reflects the main duties and responsibilities of the post. However, the post holder may be required to fulfil other ad-hoc duties commensurate with the level of the post from time to time.
