Position SummaryAs the Leasing Consultant, you serve as the face of the property—responsible for creating welcoming, professional experiences for prospective residents, current tenants, and guests. You will drive occupancy through effective leasing practices, building strong relationships with residents, and contributing to community engagement and retention.
You will guide prospective residents through the leasing process with enthusiasm and knowledge, support retention programs, and actively participate in outreach and resident engagement. Success in this role requires a high level of energy, a strong customer-first mindset, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment where occupancy, retention, and reputation are top priorities.Required Skills:
- Minimum of 2+ year of recent leasing experience in the multifamily industry.
- Working knowledge of RealPage, OneSite Management Software, Microsoft Office, and the Internet.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively before groups, have common sense, and is a self-starter who prides itself in doing the best work possible!
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeasing & Sales Performance
- Greet prospects warmly, conduct tours, and present available apartment homes and amenities professionally and enthusiastically
- Conduct property tours and highlight features and benefits of apartment homes and amenities
- Maintain expert knowledge of current rental rates, unit layouts, lease terms, availability, and all community policies
- Guide applicants through the leasing process, including application, screening, lease execution, and deposit collection.
- Prepare move-in documentation and ensure units are turn-ready before resident arrival
- Use RealPage/OneSite to track leads, applications, and resident data
- Help maintain a high lead-to-lease conversion ratio to support occupancy targets
Marketing & Outreach
- Implement and support property-level marketing strategies to drive qualified traffic
- Conduct weekly outreach marketing to local businesses, schools, and apartment locators
- Maintain current promotional materials, signage, and online listings
- Assist in monitoring digital reputation and online engagement
- Participate in planning and executing resident events and community engagement initiatives
Resident Relations & Retention
- Provide prompt, courteous service to prospective and current residents
- Support retention efforts by participating in move-in follow-ups, renewal outreach, and ongoing communication
- Help resolve resident concerns and service needs with professionalism and empathy
- Collaborate with the team to maintain a resident-first experience throughout the leasing and renewal process
- Maintain accurate and confidential resident records and leasing files
Presentation & Office Standards
- Ensure model units, leasing office, and amenity spaces are always tour-ready and presentable
- Maintain professional appearance, workspace cleanliness, and a high standard of hospitality
- Assist with administrative tasks, reporting, and general office support as needed
- Identify and report unusual property or resident issues to the Community Manager
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Community Manager.
