About the AT&T Marketing & Growth Organization (MGO):

The Marketing & Growth Organization is committed to building out next-generation marketing capabilities that will broaden our skills, deepen our expertise, and better align all AT&T’s marketing and communication resources. 

Key Roles and Responsibilities: 

AT&T Lead Marketing Manager is responsible for projecting and forecasting future marketing needs in support of AT&T marketing initiatives with a focus on agency management and operations.

In this highly visible role, you will work across the Business Units and the Marketing & Growth Organization along with our outside agencies to drive relationship improvement and operational efficiencies that result in faster time to market and higher quality product all while driving savings. 

In addition, you will also be responsible for implementing governance practices around roster management and overseeing agency and vendor performance against established KPIs to best optimize business relationships, with the end goal of driving marketing excellence for AT&T.

Roles and responsibilities of the AT&T Lead Marketing Manager include but not limited to the following:

  • Create the governance, standards, and adoption of marketing vendor engagement process and Operations Excellence priorities; partner with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and leverage of best practices; take strategic and proactive responsibility to understand the campaign development process and identify opportunities.
  • Facilitate roadshow to educate marketing teams on new process and position self as Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the discipline and an acknowledged authority within the organization.
  • Manages scope of work development process acting as a liaison in between marketers and agency
  • Facilitates monthly scope utilization between marketers and agencies to avoid overages.
  • Efficiently and effectively manage multiple, interrelated and complex data information sources.
  • Provide periodic “standardized” reporting servicing multiple and diverse internal client groups
  • Streamlines process and communications to encourage proactivity and innovation. 

Industry Expertise:

  • Experience managing marketing agency relationships across multiple functions
  • Strong understanding of the domestic agency landscape
  • Operational governance managing Agency relationships that include both the operations process, embracing design, planning, control, performance improvement, and operations strategy.
  • Agency account management experience is a plus

Functional Expertise:

  • 5+ years of direct experience in consumer and/or business facing marketing organizations
  • 5+ years of direct experience in managing agency and agency operations at large organizations
  • Experience driving performance improvement through process and skills optimization
  • Experience with agency management tools
  • Experience working in collaboration with procurement and legal teams
  • Experience in engaging cross-functional working partnerships

Operational Expertise:

  • Experience in managing processes related to agency selection, scope development, and ongoing process optimization
  • Strength in facilitating alignment across multiple stakeholders
  • Experience developing process to track and manage agency performance KPI’s

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Typically requires 8+ years of experience in an advertising, digital strategy, account planning, or marketing role within a consultancy, agency, or marketing-driven organization.

$130,700.00 – $196,100.00
