IT Procurement Business Partner – Global Retail firm – Reading + flexi & hybrid working – £70-75k + benefits

Are you an IT procurement professional looking to be part of a rapidly growing procurement team in an innovative global consumer goods business? This organization is providing cutting-edge technology solutions to its customers around the world and it is looking for someone like you to join the global procurement organization to manage the increasing complexity of its global IT Procurement spend.

You will be joining an established team of procurement professionals based around the world helping to maximize value for money through exceptional sourcing and contract management practices. You will have responsibility for sub-set of rapidly growing IT spend as the business continues to invest heavily in the next generation of technology to further enhance their customer’s experience. You will have responsibility for a range of spend across IT Hardware, Software, Licensing, Infrastructure, and Telecoms to help reduce costs and optimize purchasing performance.

As the IT Procurement Manager you will:-

• Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure optimal rates are achieved
• Apply your expertise in IT Licensing models to implement more effective commercial processes
• Run risk assessments throughout your category area to ensure minimal risk exposure to the organization
• Work effectively as part of an international team to reach a common goal of delivering hard P&L savings to the business
• Bring significant strategic procurement experience in the areas of IT and Telecoms to help further boost the capabilities of the team
• Need to speak fluent English; additional languages are highly beneficial

Procurement experience required:

• Strong knowledge of the IT category space having shown progression in your career to date from buyer level to category manager
• The desire and ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, able to manage tight deadlines and capable of working with change and transformation
• Degree level education & CIPS qualifications are preferred however not essential
