Job description: About the Role:We are seeking a dynamic IT Business Analyst to join our Computers Department. This hybrid role is designed for someone who can bridge the gap between IT systems and business operations, working primarily with external stakeholders and clients, while also overseeing the sales performance of the department’s team.You will be responsible for supporting IT initiatives that drive efficiencies and improve customer experiences across external operations, while also ensuring that the sales team engages effectively with clients and delivers high-level service and product knowledge.As an IT Business Analyst, you will collaborate closely with external partners to gather requirements, analyze data, and support the implementation of IT systems that align with business goals. Additionally, you will drive sales performance, ensuring that external relationships are strengthened and customer expectations are exceeded.Key Responsibilities:Business & Sales Analysis:

  • Collaborate with external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and business partners, to understand their needs and translate them into actionable IT requirements
  • Conduct gap analysis of existing IT systems and sales processes, recommending improvements to better meet external client demands
  • Develop business process maps, user stories, and functional specifications to support IT and sales initiatives for external clients
  • Analyze external sales performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement, integrating these insights into system and process enhancements
  • Drive the integration of IT systems with client-facing sales processes to enhance operational efficiency and improve customer experience
  • Provide training and ongoing support to ensure the sales team is equipped with the right tools, systems, and knowledge to effectively engage with clients
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to external sales activities and client satisfaction, making adjustments as needed to improve performance
  • Collaborate with marketing to provide clients with tailored promotional campaigns and customer engagement strategies that meet their unique needs
  • Ensure all external customer interactions are aligned with Harvey Norman’s customer-first mentality, fostering high levels of satisfaction and loyalty

Qualifications Required:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role, preferably within IT or retail environments
  • Proven experience managing external relationships, working with clients, and understanding their business needs
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, business process mapping, and data analysis in a customer-facing or retail context
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information for non-technical external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple client relationships, and prioritize tasks effectively
  • A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for technology and business transformation

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with SAP systems and digital transformation projects for external clients in the retail sector
  • Knowledge of the retail technology landscape, particularly in the areas of point-of-sale (POS) systems, inventory management, and customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Experience leveraging data analytics to drive sales strategies and improve operational efficiency for external clients
  • Exposure to e-commerce platforms and omnichannel retail solutions that enhance customer engagement and streamline sales operations for clients
