The Opportunity
This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
As the Integrated Consumer Senior Marketing Manager you will support the global downstream marketing for Abbott Diabetes Care’s sensor-based glucose monitoring products and digital health tools (app and software report system). Key responsibilities include supporting the development of promotional strategies and tactics, driving key marketing initiatives, and providing on-market support.
What You’ll Work On
- Supports global marketing activities, executing against established brand objectives, strategies, and tactics to deliver the business’ financial commitments to the organization.
- Responsible for consumer experience across omnichannel marketing touchpoints, driving best in class execution of how we show up as brand across advertising, product launches and evergreen content journeys.
- Is a champion of translating consumer insights and product marketing positions/claims into relevant and resonant consumer facing messaging and related marketing collateral creation.
- Primary point of integration and partnership for Global Marketing and Area/ Country marketing in supporting affiliate needs and opportunities, maintaining a high degree of market fluency and empathy in global to support a high level of program adoption in support of unique business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACTIVITIES
- Enable a customer-centric organization by understanding the needs and motivations of our customers, their purchase journey, loyalty drivers and roadblocks, leading the use of insights to drive effective marketing activities.
- Lead the development and execution of effective, customer-centric consumer marketing programs for Areas/ Markets, building from Product Marketing Business Briefs.
- Lead global content development to support the ideal customer experience across channels, leading the implementation of global templates, standards, and core content in collaboration with Area Marketing.
- Lead the development of GTM launch collateral in collaboration with Product Marketing. Drive and own the successful execution of GTM launches (i.e., quality of product collateral, deployment of launch materials).
- Ensure Brand visual and verbal consistency in messaging across all consumer marketing initiatives
- Support financial planning and on-going management of consumer program spend
- Act as a critical point of contact for launch/HCP integrated marketing agency partner
- Supports the strategic development of a global content strategy and content development in support of unified customer journeys with surfaces such as web, email, and app product in mind
- Partner with cross functional teams such as Global Market Insights team to identify, scope and deploy internal marketing research and testing initiatives in support of optimizing consumer marketing collateral
- Lead collaboration with Area teams in the execution of the activities and in achieving objectives, while ensuring the desired product benefits and brand values/equity are properly communicated, and the optimal customer experience is delivered.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree required; MBA preferred
Six years marketing experience with a minimum of four years in a commercial role including, product marketing
Preferred Qualifications
Self starter that is assertive, possesses a high degree of self confidence and intellectual curiosity, and demonstrates good executive presence.
Proven ability to identify/define business questions and issues and develop strategic, analytical and financial frameworks to conduct analysis.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently under aggressive timelines in a dynamic environment.
Comfortable working across functional areas (ex. R&D, Regulatory, Operations, etc.) and at varying levels of the organization.
Previous experience with product development (preferably in a technology driven business), marketing strategy, market research, business development and international business.

The base pay for this position is
$135,700.00 – $271,500.00
