About the Role

This position is responsible for managing a team of marketing professionals in a matrix organization to develop and implement the marketing, brand, and digital initiatives focusing primarily on revenue-generating programs.

As the Head of Marketing – Canada your key roles and responsibilities will include:

  • Act as a motivating leader within the organization for a digital first, metric-driven Marketing function
  • Develop a corporate marketing strategy for brand and product marketing linked to financial targets, focused on accelerated demand generation for company’s products and services 
  • Optimize the execution of digital marketing initiatives (SEO/PPC) to optimize lead generation and grow marketing attributable revenue
  • Support the segment leaders in the development of their segment specific marketing strategies and ensure alignment with the overall brand and corporate market strategy
  • Lead the marketing operations, marketing reporting and marketing analytics functions across all segments
  • Build a creative thought leadership program to position the company as a trusted partner in the Canadian market
  • Drive continuous improvement across the department by focusing on efficiencies and higher-value activities
  • Work closely with key stakeholders in the sales and product organizations across the business
  • Where appropriate, closely track, performance manage, refresh and upgrade talent to re-energize and unlock the full potential of the department

Basic Qualifications

  • A university degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in B2B recurring revenue (subscription based) business, preferably the content, media or SaaS industry
  • Ability to work within a matrix organization while directly managing 5-10 direct reports
