Job description: We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Data Model Expert to support our Government client with a major transformation program within the Personal Injury line of business. This role requires in-depth knowledge of the Guidewire platform’s data architecture, entity relationships, and business rules with a focus on ClaimsCenter and its customization for personal injury processing.
You will work closely with business analysts, system architects, integration teams, and stakeholders to analyze, refine, and implement data modeling strategies that ensure performance, scalability, and alignment with complex insurance business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and design Guidewire data models for ClaimsCenter(primarily) and related modules, with emphasis on Personal Injury insurance workflows.
• Customize out-of-the-box Guidewire data structures and create new entities, extensions, and typelists as required.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and product teams to understand injury-related claims processes, legislative rules, and regulatory data requirements.
• Create and maintain data mapping documentation for integrations with external systems (e.g., financial, medical, legal).
• Work with developers and QA teams to ensure alignment between data model design and implementation.
• Perform impact analysis for data changes and assist with data migration planning and data quality checks.
• Assist in optimizing database performance through efficient schema design and data indexing strategies.
• Participate in sprint planning, technical reviews, and release cycles in an Agile delivery environment.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience with Guidewire platform, with at least 3 years focused on Data Modeling.
• Hands-on experience with ClaimsCenter data schema and configuration.
• Deep knowledge of Personal Injury insurance domain, particularly claims workflows, benefit types, and compliance requirements.
• Proven ability to extend and maintain complex data models within Guidewire Studio.
• Strong understanding of Guidewire’s internal entity model, typelists, foreign keys, and business rule integration.
• Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Skilled in preparing technical documentation, entity relationship diagrams, and data dictionaries.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with data migration, data quality validation, or ETL processes.
• Guidewire certifications (DataHub, ClaimCenter, or GOSU skills a plus).
• Experience with regulatory reporting requirements related to personal injury or worker compensation.
• Familiarity with SQL, JSON/XML, and data integration frameworks(e.g., REST, SOAP).
