About the Team
TikTok is seeking an experienced marketer to join the Full Funnel Solutions team within the Global Business Marketing department, focusing on our Core product solutions. This team serves as a strategic marketing unit for creating scaled marketing content, sales collateral and promotional plans at the Global level as well as North America.
The Global Marketing Solutions Lead, Performance Products is a pivotal role in the GBM organization and a leader at TikTok. This individual and the team they lead sit at the intersection of the Product, Integrated Marketing, Marketing Science and Events teams to synthesize complex products into simplified, repeatable solutions backed by data.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in and understanding of ad products across channels and the ad tech industry, as well as experience leading complex marketing initiatives. They should have a strong background in and understanding of ad products across channels and ad buying methodologies to bring product stories to life as relevant client solutions through strategic marketing plans and impactful marketing collateral. They are a gifted storyteller, with the ability to creatively connect the dots between TikTok’s products and brands’ objectives. They have an appetite for learning, and are comfortable working outside their primary skill set and comfort zone, to help drive product led ad solutions for TikTok.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of marketers dedicated to TikTok’s performance solutions
- Come up with easy to understand frameworks and creative packaging ideas that reinvent how advertising products are being presented in-market, and result in on-brand, breakthrough communications around our monetization solutions.
- Work closely with regional marketing, research and product teams to understand challenges and opportunities to digest and simplify the information, and use it to make strategic recommendations around business and marketing collateral, which are then adapted and localized across regions.
- Partner closely with the global business marketing team functions and external production partners to ensure that marketing ideas are executed and adopted seamlessly – throughout internal social, PR, and web properties, and externally through industry engagements
- Work with senior leadership to translate product news into relevant external key messages which drive adoption across industry events, partner meetings and other high profile engagements
- Knowing our ecosystem of media solutions inside-out, in order to strategically recommend what series of ad products are better suited to solve any given client or vertical need.
- Design campaigns with clear strategies, KPIs, and leverage insights from the campaign data to help optimize for future activations.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in a marketing solutions, product marketing, media or digital strategy role; ideally from a content platform, digital or media agency, or from an ad tech platform.
- Strong acumen for writing (technical and/or copywriting) and visual storytelling, with an understanding and interest for how to bring strategic concepts to life through content and communication tactics.
- Familiarity with social and performance advertising products, as well as being able to have thorough strategic conversations around marketing and creative tools.
- Detail oriented with experience managing multiple projects and deadlines while working across a wide range of stakeholders to build alignment through collaboration
- Experience with integrated marketing campaigns (digital, social, experiential) and the ability to demonstrate its impact on the brand
- Ability to deeply understand the ad industry holistically, and the media buying process in particular
- Comfortable with ambiguity, with the ability to stay agile and pivot based on business need and innovation opportunities
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills as well as proven ability to develop well-written documents and eloquently present them
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while working across a wide range of stakeholders
- Strong grasp and keen passion for marketing, technology and culture, and an understanding of the social media and entertainment space
- Well organized, detail-oriented, ambitious personality who is open to helping with any task
- Experience working in tech startup environments and/or product teams is a plus!
