Role Overview
As the Field Marketing Manager for the Asia-Pacific region at Murex, you will define and implement the regional marketing strategy in partnership with regional and global business stakeholders, across the sales, product management, corporate marketing and go-to-market functions.
You will develop and coordinate the execution of marketing plans that support global corporate goals as well as regional business development objectives. This includes building brand awareness of Murex solutions and Murex managed services for the Financial Services industry, driving lead and demand generation actions, and nurturing client relationships to support cross-selling activities.
The Asia-Pacific Field Marketing Manager is a privileged partner for the APAC sales and account management. They set the direction and project-managing marketing activities across 5 territory business units and ensure that results are assessed and reported to regional and global stakeholders.
Based in Singapore, you will report directly to the Asia-Pacific head of Marketing, Presales and Go-to-Market. The role will require occasional travels in Asia and/or to Murex headquarters in Paris.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute multi-channel marketing plans for multiple product lines in a B2B environment.
- Manage the full Marketing cycle from strategic planning to execution by leveraging all internal resources, functional partners, agencies, and suppliers.
- Work with regional teams and corporate marketing to identify local business priorities and implement effective supporting strategies.
- Liaise continuously with the corporate product marketing, marketing communication and event marketing teams to optimize the execution of a result-driven APAC marketing plan.
- Manage a regional marketing budget and track ROI for all marketing initiatives.
- Lead and support the development of regional content. Initiate, write and edit copy for various marketing collateral, including press releases, client case studies, emails, white papers, website content…
- Ensure that collateral produced by the corporate marketing teams best addresses the Asia Pacific markets.
- Help gather and organize market and competitive intelligence. This is performed in close partnership with regional and global teams, and with the support of the APAC presales and go-to-market teams.
- Contribute to global and regional go-to-market campaigns.
- Organize, project-manage and actively participate in the redaction of entries to industry awards, and answers to analyst requests.
- Plan and execute the regional event strategy covering trade shows and conferences (e.g., ISDA AGM, SIBOS, Asia Risk Congress), webinars, internal client events, across multiple locations in APAC.
- Run regional webinars and social media campaigns in English and occasionally in Chinese and Japanese.
- Work closely with the corporate marketing, Beijing and Tokyo teams to continuously expand and improve the content of our Chinese and Japanese web pages (incl. client case studies and video interviews), and to develop the SEO, digital and social media strategy for the Japanese and Chinese markets.
- Show curiosity for the Murex line of products and services, and an appetite to understand the broader ecosystem of clients and SI partners.
- Drive market analyses and studies (incl. positioning and segmentation recommendations and addressable market assessments).
- In collaboration with product, marketing and go-to-market teams, define, improve, explain and advertise the value proposition of key Murex solutions and Murex services.
- Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of regional marketing actions (mailing and social media campaigns, events, webinars…), present results to senior stakeholders, and drive improvements.
- Be hands-on, detail-oriented, creative and proactive in leading marketing activities.
- Stay up-to-date on latest marketing technologies and tools, and how they can be leveraged to improve marketing effectiveness.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, finance or computer science.
- 7+ years of experience in a regional integrated B2B marketing role in financial services or IT services marketing.
- Experience in developing marketing plans and coordinating their execution across multiple channels.
- Strong leadership and relationship management skills.
- Solid project management skills and problem-solving skills with an ability to create project plans and manage through seamless execution.
- Outstanding writing, outlining and editing skills.
- Strong oral communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Master’s degree in marketing, business, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in B2B marketing.
- Experience with marketing automation software.
- Experience working in a global organization.
- Experience driving initiatives in a matrix reporting environment.
- Experience with presenting and reporting to senior management.
- Knowledge of capital markets and financial services actors in APAC.
- Knowledge of key technologies and software providers for capital markets.
