We are looking to hire a Field and Events Marketing Leader to promote Nextiva’s brand and customer experience/communications software solutions by spearheading our events marketing strategy and execution to support our Direct Sales efforts for small business and mid-market accounts. This includes trade show/event planning and attendance, securing speaking opportunities, representing Nextiva at industry events, organizing our own customer related events, and implementing marketing campaigns.

This individual should have a successful track record of organizing attendance at trade shows and customer events and proving ROI through event marketing strategies and tactics. The role involves a combination of marketing and event management skills, with a focus on creating engaging experiences that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales, intended to maximize company exposure and produce sales leads.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Marketing Strategy: Develop and implement event marketing strategies and objectives that align with the company’s overall marketing and sales goals. This could involve identifying target audiences and relevant customer related events or trade shows, building a calendar of events, setting event objectives, and determining the best ways to reach these audiences.
  2. Event Planning and Management: Plan and manage all event details such as venue, budget, guest list, speakers, sponsors, promotional material, and post-event evaluations. This includes both physical and virtual events like webinars, conferences, trade shows, and product launches. Determines selection and training of staff to support the events (elevator pitches, demos etc). Directs exhibit design program including production. Negotiates contracts and manages relationships with outside vendors.
  3. Brand Promotion: Use events as a platform to promote Nextiva’s vision and solutions. This could involve creating engaging presentations, demonstrations, or interactive experiences that highlight the benefits of the software.
  4. Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as Direct Sales teams focused on Mid-Market and Enterprise accounts, channel partner events team, product development, and customer service to ensure that events meet the needs of all stakeholders. Work with internal/external resources to obtain needed materials and services.
  5. Performance Tracking: Drive marketing influenced pipeline and generate MQLs through onsite activations and support of the sales team. Monitor and analyze the success of each event, using metrics like attendee feedback, lead generation, and sales conversions to evaluate performance and make improvements for future events and measure ROI.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Experience: 5+ years of related experience in event management or marketing, preferably within the SaaS industry.
  2. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a variety of audiences.
  3. Strong bias for action: ability to juggle multiple priorities and create a sense of urgency in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Track record of taking ownership and driving results.
  4. Move easily between generating big, creative ideas, and driving ongoing process improvement.
  5. Proven analytical and data decision-making capabilities.
  6. Organization: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
  7. Creativity: The ability to produce innovative event ideas and marketing strategies that stand out in a competitive market.
  8. Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with SaaS products and the ability to explain complex software concepts in a way that is easy for non-technical audiences to understand.
  9. Frequent travel as required to support events.

In essence, an Events Marketing Leader is like the conductor of an orchestra, coordinating all the different elements of an event to create an engaging experience that promotes the company’s software products and drives business growth.
