Faculty Marketing Executive (Degree Apprenticeships)

Manchester Metropolitan University
At Manchester Met we have a brilliant story to tell with our Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ degree apprenticeships offer.
We work with over 540 employers nationwide, ranging from household names to SMEs and have over 2,000 degree apprentices. Our sector-leading programmes give individuals the opportunity to learn while they earn and to develop the skills that employers want and need. For four years in a row, we have been named the top university provider at the RateMyApprenticeship awards and have recently received Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ for our provision against the regulator’s new Education Inspection Framework.
The Degree Apprenticeships Unit at Manchester Met has ambitious growth targets and, due to a secondment elsewhere in the team, we are now seeking a Faculty Marketing Executive (Degree Apprenticeships) to join us for the next nine months, supporting our marketing campaigns to recruit both apprentices and employer partners.
The role will involve working with the Faculty Marketing Manager and Faculty Marketing Officer (Degree Apprenticeships) to develop and deliver a successful, fully-integrated marketing strategy. You will need to be able to keep up with market trends within the degree apprenticeship sector, and have experience working across the full marketing mix, both on and offline.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- A proactive and ‘hands-on’ approach
- Great all-round marketing skills including experience of producing digital campaigns, social media management, content development, experience of managing a CRM, design commissioning, copywriting, asset and publication production and event management
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to hit the ground running and to manage competing priorities
At Manchester Met we have recently refreshed our strategy and launched the Road to 2030. Marketing will play a key role in helping to support the University to deliver outstanding teaching and research and it’s a great time to be a part of the team as we shape how we work in the future.
We are investing in a number of new roles and will be going through exciting changes to put marketing excellence, impact and staff development at the heart of how we work. Our core work won’t change, and we are looking for talented staff who share our vision to come and work with us.
If you apply for this role and are offered an interview, we will be able to share more detail about our transformation plans as part of the recruitment process.

In recognition of staff contributions to the University’s achievements during the 2021/2022 academic year, an additional discretionary payment of 2% per annum will be added to your salary until 31/07/23 in order to ensure consistency amongst existing and incoming staff. This additional 2% will be paid pro rata in equal monthly instalments, on top of your salary each month until 31/07/23.
