Job Detail

Location: Unit 9, Queensway Meadows Industrial Estate, Newport, Gwent, NP19 4SP

Working Hours: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, with 1 in 4 Saturdays
(Additional working hours be required)

Main duties & responsibilities

As an External Salesperson, you will use your product knowledge along with sales skills to provide advice and support on a range of bespoke products, for which a certain level of expertise is required. You will assist colleagues with bids and tenders for new and existing clients, with a view to increasing sales growth within the division.

External Salespeople are a key point of contact for clients and provide pre- and post-sales advice. You would be expected to liaise regularly with other members of the sales team on these projects.

Other duties include:

  • Searching for new clients who could benefit from your products in a designated region.
  • Establishing new, and maintaining existing, relationships with customers.
  • Managing and interpreting customer requirements.
  • Advising clients on products or services that will best satisfy their needs.
  • Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions.
  • Offering after-sales support services.

Knowledge & Skills requirements

The ideal candidate will have following key skills:

  • Knowledge of bearings, power transmission and fluid power is essential.
  • Experience within sales would be beneficial.
  • Able to work well as part of a team, as well as independently.
  • Able to build relationships with others.
  • Sales-orientated, enthusiastic and motivated.
