We are currently seeking an Events/Marketing Assistant to join our Vancouver team within our Marketing department. This position is for someone who is proactive with a strong work ethic, can handle a busy workload, and who has a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have a strong client service focus, the ability to multi-task, have solid organizational skills and excellent communication skills, and a creative flair.


Responsibilities:

  • Organize, manage and update website & social media platforms
  • Provide assistance with planning and executing lawyer & partner retreats
  • Provide assistance with planning and executing the client seminars, cocktail receptions and various firm sponsored events either virtually or in-person
  • Plan & execute the firms staff socials and various functions throughout the year
  • Provide assistance with organizing the United Way Fundraiser & Family Christmas Party
  • Provide assistance with ordering marketing supplies such as business cards
  • Provide assistance with researching promotional swag and client gifts
  • Provide assistance with scheduling meetings for various business development meetings
  • Purchase and renew lawyer/firm memberships
  • Ordering lunch/catering for client lunch and learn meetings or small client gatherings at the firm
  • Updating the firm hub
  • Create and update bi-weekly firm newsletter

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Experience using Adobe illustrator and Photoshop
  • Basic knowledge in creating and distributing e-blasts and newsletters that are on-brand
  • Interest in event coordination and execution
  • Strong organization skills
  • Creative flair
  • Successful completion of a post secondary marketing program is an asset for this role
  • Previous marketing experience is required for this role
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills
  • Able to multi-task
  • Technically savvy and experienced in social media platforms
  • Basic knowledge in graphic design
