The Team:
The Event Driven Team in London provides advice and research to an international client base with event driven or merger arbitrage strategies. It is part of Jefferies’ European equities division.
The Role:
We are keen to hire an additional Salesperson to help cover a range of institutional clients that are mostly located in London and NYC. The role will entail the following responsibilities:
- Provide information and investment advice to clients
- Identify clients’ needs and connect clients to other parts of Jefferies as required
- Identity and develop new client relationships
- Assist with monetization, including negotiation of research contracts
- Cross selling of other Jefferies services
Qualifications
- Several years’ experience in event driven or hedge fund equity sales, M&A advisory, or buyside experience at an event driven fund
- Ability to quickly understand complex corporate transactions and trade ideas
- Excellent communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to develop strong relationships
- An understanding of equity sales and/or event driven / merger arbitrage investing would be advantageous
