Job description: Bolton Clarke is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Operations to lead and inspire our Retirement Living operations across Queensland and New South Wales. This is a newly created pivotal leadership role, responsible for driving operational excellence, strategic alignment, and a customer-centric culture across our vibrant retirement communities.You will play a critical role in delivering high-quality, customer-centric services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. This role also supports the Chief Operating Officer in the implementation of the Retirement Living strategic plan and target operating model.Strategic Leadership Accountabilities

  • Provide executive oversight of a regional portfolio of retirement villages, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and performance objectives
  • Lead the development and execution of operational plans, budgets, and key performance indicators
  • Ensure compliance with the Retirement Villages Act, Code of Conduct, and Bolton Clarke quality standards
  • Promote a culture of resident engagement, satisfaction, and empowerment through effective leadership of Regional and Village Managers
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across contracts, sales, marketing, and support services to achieve strategic and financial targets
  • Represent Bolton Clarke in industry forums and advocacy initiatives, enhancing the organisation’s visibility and influence within the sector

To Drive Success in this Pivotal Role

  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Finance, Health, or similar field, or experience deemed the equivalent
  • Experience in general management of operational teams at a senior level in a multi-dimensional organisation, preferably within the Not for Profit, Health or Community Sector
  • A proven ability to navigate ambiguity and manage competing priorities with sound judgment and strategic focus.
  • Demonstrated success in leading organisational change and embedding a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Highly developed communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A strong track record in delivering business transformation initiatives.
  • History in managing substantial operational budgets and financial governance processes.
