The Opportunity
Altus Group is looking to engage leader with established experience in all aspects of marketing technology, and contact data management programmes. A particular emphasis is placed on professionals who have demonstrated proven success in developing strategies and architecture for marketing’s ongoing support for Altus’s ongoing organic growth and continued market expansion. The Director of Marketing Technology will be responsible for growing productive engagement with sales operations and marketing teams globally. This includes programs to ensure the marketing team has the technology, insight, and capability to extend to new customers, in new verticals, and in new geographies. This effort involves tightly aligning a programmatic marketing technology approach to sales operations’ planning and reporting. This is a senior position within Altus Group marketing leadership team.
At a high-level this role will be responsible for the strategy and architecture of Altus Group’s marketing technology stack, customer/prospect data segmentation plans as well as timely and accurate marketing performance analytics, reporting and forecasting. This leadership role is responsible for developing, resourcing, and executing Altus Group’s marketing technology (MAP, ABM platform, etc.) and prospect data acquisition strategy. That strategy must align seamlessly with sales operations and related technology. A strategy and process for assessing, and when possible, successfully migrating the marketing tech stacks of businesses acquired by Altus is also an ongoing responsibility.
Beyond marketing this role is also tightly aligned to and works in concert with the sales operations and IT operations leaders globally. Providing vital guidance on the ongoing maintenance and future strategy of marketing technology.
Altus Group is taking the next steps in unifying our business. This includes simplifying our operating model, futureproofing our front office and back-office capabilities. These steps ensure our business maintains a cohesive focus on providing strategic value to our customers across the CRE value chain. As Altus takes these steps the Director of Marketing Technology is crucial to ensuring our commercial technology and processes are effective and consistent in all Altus Group commercial functions.
Key Responsibilities
MarTech Stack – Strategy, Architecture and Maintenance
- Develop strategy, standards, and maintain Altus Group’s global MarTech program MAP, CDP, ABM, GAS/GMP, etc.
- Rationalize and migrate marketing technology of acquired businesses to Altus Group
- Harmonize and integrate MarTech with Sales Operations CRM and Altus Group’s Front Office strategy
Campaign Set-up and performance reporting in CRM
- Partnering closely with Sales Operations establish standard for performance reporting that tracks marketing campaign performance across all marketing channels
- Collaborates with key functional leaders across the business to develop, execute and optimize commercial technology
Customer/Prospect Data and Performance Analytics
- Provide insight into the data structure and architecture requirements to link marketing with Altus Group’s strategy to further penetrate our chosen TAM
- Ensure our customer contract data acquisition strategy is compliant with GDPR and related regulatory requirements
Marketing – Customer/Prospect Engagement Analysis
- Full funnel insight (marketing, sales, customer engagement) across the buyers’ journey)
- Report on buyer behaviour by identifying intent triggers
- Identify telemetry requirements to optimise prospect and customer engagement
Organizational Leadership & Team Management
- Create a vision that is inspiring to the various teams within marketing as well as key stakeholders in sales and senior executives to drive commitment to marketing’s programs
- Create a team environment that engages people, processes, and programs to achieve organizational and marketing team goals
- Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring and motivation to the team which facilitates business growth and service expansion
- Accountable for overall marketing planning & effectiveness team headcount management (hiring, dismissals, budget etc.)
- Build competent and professional teams focused on delivering high level of quality service to all internal clients
- Ensure employee development and continuous improvement
- Drive employee satisfaction and retention of key talent
- Communicate business direction to the team and ensure alignment of individual goals to business goals

Experience Requirements
- BSc or similar in business or similar field. Master’s degree may be preferable
- Extensive experience with MAP, CRM, ABM platforms and related technology. Preference given to candidates with experience with marketing cloud-based services
- Possesses a proven background with the development, budgeting, and execution of successful marketing programs
- Experience creating programs and managing teams in multiple countries and that resonate with diverse business practices
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to make difficult decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Highly analytical and willingness to work flexible hours across multiple time zones
- Travel up to 2-5 days quarterly
Additional Information
- The candidate would ideally be based out of Altus Group offices in London, New York, Toronto, or Paris
- New York salary range – $180-190K USD
