The Director, Marketing (Trade Shows & Marketing Communications) will play a pivotal leadership role within Hologic’s Radiology and Biopsy division. This individual will be responsible for driving the division’s multi-year strategic marketing direction as it relates to world-class trade shows and marketing communications initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of the medical device industry, exceptional leadership capabilities, and a passion for advancing women’s health. This leader will foster a high-performing, engaged marketing teams while ensuring the execution of impactful programs that align with Hologic’s mission and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Oversee the development of integrated marketing plans, ensuring alignment with business goals, customer needs, and market trends.
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of large-scale trade shows and events to maximize brand visibility, customer engagement, and return on investment (ROI).
- Partner with executive leadership to identify growth opportunities and adapt marketing strategies to meet evolving market dynamics.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to inform decision-making and maintain Hologic’s leadership position in the market.
Team Development & Leadership
- Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Provide ongoing coaching, development opportunities, and performance feedback to team members, ensuring their professional growth and engagement.
- Champion cross-functional collaboration with sales, product management, R&D, and other internal stakeholders to drive alignment and execution of marketing initiatives.
- Serve as a role model and advocate for Hologic’s values, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team and organization.
Marketing Communications & Trade Show Excellence
- Oversee the development of compelling marketing communications strategies and campaigns, including digital, print, and multimedia channels.
- Drive the planning and execution of impactful trade shows, conferences, and events that effectively showcase Hologic’s product portfolio and thought leadership.
- Ensure consistent and effective brand messaging across all marketing touchpoints, maintaining Hologic’s reputation as a trusted leader in women’s health.
- Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness and ROI of marketing campaigns, trade shows, and events, leveraging data to optimize future initiatives.
Operational Excellence
- Manage the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support strategic priorities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including agencies, vendors, and industry organizations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards in all marketing activities and communications.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in the medical device industry or healthcare sector.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is required; MBA or advanced degree is strongly preferred.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated success in developing and executing multi-year strategic marketing plans that drive business growth.
- Marketing Expertise: Deep expertise in marketing communications, brand management, and trade show/event strategy.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the medical device industry, including regulatory considerations and customer needs.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
- Analytical Skills: Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze metrics, draw insights, and make informed decisions.
