The Role

Reporting to the Sr Director of Marketing Operations, the Director of Marketing Automation will play an essential role in rounding out a world-class Marketing Automation function. Central duties of this function include the oversight of daily execution of campaigns utilizing our Marketing Automation Platform (Eloqua), serving as the interlock between Marketing and Sales Operations, and helping define the Marketing Automation to Sales Integration playbook. This role is hybrid, with 3 days (T/W/Th) in Bedford, MA.

Your Impact

  • Own the Marketing Automation function from campaign configuration/execution through opportunity generation.
  • Collaborate and partner with Marketing and Sales Leadership to define and document the processes in which Marketing leads are actioned and routed through technology and resources – with a goal of building trust and alignment within the organization through SLAs.
  • Manage the daily execution of Marketing Campaigns through Eloqua and Salesforce.com.
  • Create efficiencies within Marketing Operations and Automation, leveraging best practices, allowing the digital marketing team to scale globally.
  • Own data best practices, compliance and governance for Marketing related activities.
  • Continually audit and enhance the technology platform to ensure we are leverage systems and tools at the highest levels.
  • Manage an automation team of three.

What You’ll Need

  • B/S or M/S degree in general business management, sales or related field required.
  • Strong relationship building, teamwork/collaboration with senior leaders and subject matter experts.
  • Expert in lead management tactics, from “lead to opportunity”.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of experience within Marketing and/or Marketing Operations.
  • Proven successes implementing lead generation and actioning processes, utilizing ForresterDecision’s Marketing Operations framework or other methodologies.
  • Expert in all things Marketing Automation and Technology, including Marketing Automation Platforms, Sales and Customer Relationship Management systems and all layered systems and applications.
  • Player-coach mentality.
  • Results oriented individual, self-starter and possesses the able to work independently.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and multi-tasking skills, demonstrates sound judgment and excellent decision-making abilities, and shows a great attention to detail.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills; ability to address cross-functional and cross-organizational issues independently; proven track record of high-impact success; high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial work ethic required to drive business outcomes. Ability to identify needs, design enablement solutions and deliver solutions to sales team with credibility and impact.
