What you will do:
The Director, Marketing Operations is responsible maximizing the productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of the Scene+ marketing team, ensuring that we deliver a great experience for our members, owners and partners.
The role is a key contributor to evolution of Scene+ as Canada’s premier lifestyle loyalty program. The role focuses heavily on partnering with internal and external stakeholders to prioritize the resources necessary to deliver our in-year targets, while developing and delivering a long-term strategy to grow our marketing capabilities.
What You Will Be Doing:
The Director, Marketing Operations works directly with the VP Marketing to ensure we’re effectively governing the marketing team:
Marketing Planning and Prioritization – create and manage a marketing planning and prioritization process that sets annual, quarterly and monthly marketing priorities with the Scene+ Marketing Committee [20%]
Marketing Resource Management – manage the workflow of incoming requests to ensure that Scene+ marketing has allocated sufficient marketing budgets, internal staffing and external agency support to deliver against annual plans [20%]
Marketing Capability Development – drive the delivery of the marketing roadmap; a series of technology and process improvements that will allow Scene+ to deliver personalized marketing at scale [30%]
Member Contact Governance – test, launch and optimize a new “air traffic control” capability designed to automatically prioritize the most relevant messages for members [10%]
Brand Management – develop and maintain a creative library of approved marketing assets, and govern the use of the Scene+ brand across the loyalty ecosystem [10%]
What You Need:
  • Undergraduate degree in a related field of study.
  • 10+ years’ experience program/project management, with experience managing multiple stakeholders
  • 7+ years’ experience leading change management projects, including capability and process builds.
  • 7+ years’ experience in managing budgets and people resources.
Who You Are:
  • Ability to develop complex marketing plans in a matrix environment.
  • Stakeholder management – ability to influence and negotiate with internal and external teams to keep plans on track.
  • Project Management – ability to manage a complex series of deliverables and keep all stakeholders on track to deliver against stated milestones.
  • Experience planning and managing budgets.
What Sets You Apart:
  • Master’s in Business Administration is preferred.
  • Experience in loyalty.
  • Experience with marketing platforms or capabilities (Salesforce, Movable Ink, etc).
