On Location is seeking a motivated Director, Sports Marketing to help lead the company’s Event Marketing efforts across all NCAA events: including Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Men’s Frozen Four, Wrestling, Women’s Volleyball, Women’s College World Series and Men’s College World Series. 

The role will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and will work closely with On Location Account Management, Event Experience, Finance and Production teams. 

The ideal candidate is someone with prior experience working within sports and event ticket and hospitality sales, with experience developing and executing marketing efforts. The candidate will be responsible for quickly standing up and executing B2C and B2B marketing campaigns to drive leads against high-value all-access event packages for all key NCAA events and entertainment. This individual will have an eye for brand management and will be a connection point between the NCAA, On Location and the Endeavor Flywheel. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the creation for all integrated marketing plans for all partner events within the NCAA vertical that performs against the established channel plan. 
  • Create and own a multi-phased, integrated marketing operations plan to drive leads and subsequent sales. Must be nimble enough to adapt such plan in real time. 
  • Manage cross-promotional marketing initiatives when required. 
  • Utilize Endeavor’s data and analytics insights to make informed, strategic marketing plans across all NCAA events 
  • Serve as a liaison between the NCAA, On Location and Endeavor becoming a resource the NCAA can utilize to unlock marketing assistance across the Endeavor flywheel 
  • Brand management for On Location within the NCAA channel utilizing the power of the NCAA brand to elevate On Location brand awareness. 
  • Work cross functionally within the overall marketing team, relying on shared services to drive short- and long-term outcomes. 
  • Act as liaison between the NCAA and internal creative and account teams to request, review and deliver brand appropriate creative for partner marketing assets – print and digital, and guest communications. 
  • Understand NCAA marketing strategies and align On Location’s strategy so both work together for maximum results 
  • Work cross functionally with internal teams to update content on marketing/ecommerce websites including OnLocationExp.com. Monitor event inventory closely and modify/adjust marketing efforts accordingly. 
  • Manage and track expenses on key event marketing budgets. 

You Have These

  • 7+ years’ experience building and executing strategic marketing and channel brand campaigns for sports, hospitality or relevant marketing efforts focused on direct-to-consumer lead generation initiatives. NCAA Experience and relationships a plus. 
  • Experience with email, digital and social campaigns, customer journeys and 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including strong competency to build relationships with industry partners and manage up to executive leadership 
  • Experience managing brands within guidelines to support On Location brand growth. 
  • Experience navigating customer communication and service challenges is a plus. 
  • Proficiency in reviewing sales and marketing data to inform decision making. 
  • Ability to develop a positive and effective relationship with coworkers, partners and customers. 
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Experience with Google Analytics 4, Pardot and Asana a plus 
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically. This position requires weekend, holiday and after hours work as needed during peak times of the year.
