Director, Field Marketing – North America, Public Sector

About Role:

We are looking for an experienced Marketing leader to drive our go-to-market efforts across our Federal, State, Local and Education Sectors (FED & SLED). As our Director of Field Marketing, you will lead a team of Field Marketing Managers to create and deliver regional marketing plans for the theater. You will work in close collaboration with leadership from our rapidly growing Field Sales, Inside Sales, and Partnership teams to craft and execute your plans as well as work cross functionally within Marketing to deliver comprehensive GTM plans across Campaigns, Digital, and Web Marketing for Public Sector. 

We are seeking someone with a can-do attitude and a successful track record of inspiring a team to build, execute and optimise marketing strategies in a fast-paced, high growth company. You will be a proven business partner across departments who is well-versed in interpreting data as well as building program frameworks that drive pipeline and revenue at scale. You will also think big-picture and leverage both online and offline tactics in your plans. Reporting into the Senior Director of Global Field & Partner Marketing, this role will call for both strategic ownership, creative thinking, and problem solving alongside expert public speaking, collaboration, and team leadership skills. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable in a dynamic environment, and a proven team leader.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead the development of strategic and effective theater marketing plans to build pipeline and drive revenue. Partner with various cross functional teams to deliver a comprehensive portfolio of online and offline marketing programs to meet and exceed targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Digital, Events, Campaigns and Product Marketing to develop industry campaigns and GTM initiatives bespoke to Public Sector. Support corporate initiatives, give actionable feedback, share best practices, and serve as the advocate and marketing information source for the theater.
  • Manage and develop a team of geographically dispersed Field Marketing Managers to ensure the marketing strategy is executed according to plan, as well as recruit, hire and onboard new team members.
  • Set and communicate clear and measurable goals. Track lead flow from campaign response through to pipeline generation, and collaborate with Inside Sales and Sales Management to improve conversion metrics. Be outcome obsessed in everything you do.
  • Be a strategic business partner to Sales, Inside Sales and Partnership Team Leaders in order to craft the short and long-term GTM strategy as well as drive adoption for your team’s programs. Participate in leadership meetings and present on QBRs.
  • Drive partner adoption of and alignment with corporate campaigns, promotions and tools. Develop joint marketing plans, create broader market awareness, and generate new business opportunities.
  • Manage a roll-up budget, assess the effectiveness of the various marketing tactics based on business targets, and continually refine and improve activities for greater impact using Salesforce and Tableau.
  • Ensure corporate policies and training are completed on time and adhered to by team members.

Experience You’ll Need: 

  • 12+ years of experience and history of career growth in relevant Public Sector Marketing roles within a fast-paced, high-growth technology company.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and coach team members.
  • Strong sense of accountability and ownership to manage your business and clearly communicate results back to the organization with compelling written and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with new customers, expansion and ABM marketing tactics and vendors across the Public Sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with an understanding of key metrics that drive the business, including funnel conversion rates and lead follow up processes.
  • Understanding of the IT and Security buyer, ability to create compelling events for her/him ideally within the security sector, direct and with partners.
  • Ability to build trusting, collaborative relationships with peers, sales teams, partners and customers.
  • Ability to maintain an optimistic, approachable, and self-starter attitude.
  • Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and strategic thinking skills with ability to make data-driven decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Salesforce, Tableau, MAS, Coupa familiarity..
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent.
  • Ability to travel.

The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US (SF Bay Area, DC Metro, NYC) Pay Range

$191,000—$286,600 USD

The minimum and maximum base salaries for this role are posted below; additionally, the role is eligible for bonus potential, equity and benefits. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the role based on U.S. location. Within the range, the salary offered will be determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US2 (all other US offices/remote) Pay Range

$171,900—$257,900 USD
