How your role will add to the story:
The Digital Sales Business Development Manager is responsible for driving decisions related to the digital sales strategy in terms of KPI setting, business development, sales incentives, and measures to improve overall performance and effectiveness. This is an essential partnership role between Sales, Marketing, Digital House, and Finance to determine realistic forecasts and recommendations to improve the operational performance towards the achievement of digital sales targets.
A day in the life
- Be the conduit between Head Office and the Field Teams in developing, communicating, executing and reporting (including follow-up) on digital sales KPIs.
- Responsibility for developing implementation and growth strategies to achieve digital sales KPIs through strong collaboration with the regional managers.
- Business development, best practice definition, and best practice sharing with a focus on customer retention and digital sales development.
- Development of global network of digital sales colleagues for best practice exchanges and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for the national, regional, and dealer level digital sales and subscription targets. Both volume and revenue.
- Manages the dealer relationship as the main point of contact on digital sales KPIs and digital business strategy.
- Support dealers to provide customers with an unmatched shopping and ownership experience at all times.
- Discuss key digital performance results and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct reviews and audits as prescribed and support implementation of corrective measures, which includes ongoing monitoring.
- Sales lead for Power BI strategy and report development in collaboration with the Data House.
- Enable informed decisions by leading the development and enhancement of Mercedes-Benz Canada’s sales analytics toolkit for use by senior management and sales teams to monitor progress and achievement of digital sales targets.
- Prepare monthly analysis at national, regional, and dealer level on Mercedes-Benz Canada performance and competitive environment as it relates to digital sales and subscriptions.
- Preparation of Market and/or model level studies (ad-hoc) to define need for measures or program changes respectively.
- Contribute to annual preparation of the Mercedes-Benz Business Plan (MBBP) for digital targets in collaboration with the MB Canada Digital House and US / market management.
- Responsible for monthly and ad-hoc analyses and forecasts to support annual target attainment.
- Monitoring of core KPIs, ad-hoc reporting, and provision of monthly executive summaries. Reporting at multiple levels with the inclusion of objective commentary.
- Lead and support projects as they relate to the delivery, implementation, and growth of digital sales.
- Supports back office administration such as budget planning & tracking, PRs, and invoicing as it relates to the digital sales business.
- Administer and implement all corporate OEM policies and programs effectively and efficiently.
- Ad Hoc projects as a key contributor from Sales.

Qualifications
- University Degree (preference in business / economics / finance / marketing)
- 5 to 7 years of automotive sales, marketing, planning or sales operations experience; Experience with digital services, subscription models, and business development is preferred.
- Exceptional working knowledge of data collection, data analysis and evaluation; must be able to effectively communicate with business managers and technical professionals to proactively enhance company analytics.
- Hands on experience with digital services, subscription models, and business development.
- Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within a constantly changing environment with enthusiasm; must be able to work well under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and relationship-building skills with the ability to effectively influence and drive action with all functions and levels of the organization.
- Tactical and strategic management skill; addressing the short term demands, while leveraging the big picture and preparing for the future.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications with expert knowledge in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Knowledge of SAP and Power BI is recommended.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with outstanding attention to detail.
