Primary Duties and Responsibilities: 

The Digital Marketing Specialist I position will implement, monitor and manage digital marketing campaigns promoting the College’s programs, services, and events. The key media in these campaigns are email and text messaging as well as paid social advertising, search, and display advertising. The Specialist will primarily utilize Salesforce Marketing Cloud to create these campaigns.

As assigned, executes database marketing automation, email, texting, paid social media, search and display advertising campaigns.

Participates in brainstorming new and creative enrollment growth strategies through digital marketing.

Stay up-to-date with emerging digital marketing trends and technologies.

Writes content used in assigned media channels.

Ensures consistency with content and design standards, and evolve COD’s voice and brand.

Monitors analytics for assigned campaigns and update reports as directed.

Implements, tests, and deploys new campaigns and automated communication journeys and maintains existing campaigns and journeys.

Monitors our profiles on College search sites such as Naviance, Hobsons, and Niche.

Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education
  • Minimum Associate degree in marketing, digital media, or related field required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital media or a related field preferred.
  • Google AdWords, Google Analytics and/or SEO Certifications preferred.
  • Experience
  • 1-2 Years experience working in digital marketing.
  • Higher Education experience preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud/Pardot preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Self-motivated and customer focused.
  • Knowledge of marketing automation, email, text messaging, social media, search advertising, and display advertising campaigns.
  • Understanding of how to optimize landing pages and user journeys.
  • Familiarity with website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Trends, Google AdWords, SEMRush, etc.).
  • Familiarity with setting up and optimizing PPC campaigns on search engines.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and SQL development and constraints.

Working Conditions:

Personal computer, mobile device such as tablet or smart phone, printer, fax, copy machine, calculator, and telephone.

Must be able to attend meetings on both sides of campus and attend meetings at off-campus locations.

This position requires a background check and drug screen.

Hiring Range:

Classified 11 Salary/47,500.00 – 52,000.00
