Job description: About this Position As a Design Quality Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring quality excellence across innovation and renovation initiatives. You will drive robust risk management at the design phase, assure excellence in technical transfer to production, and develop critical-to-quality material specifications. This role also focuses on building capabilities within innovation teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will be a strategic partner to R&D, Marketing, NPI, and Operations, ensuring alignment on quality from ideation to launcWhat you´ll do
- Build and champion quality excellence in regional innovation and renovation processes.
- Develop and deploy quality strategies for change management, including defining KPIs and performance targets.
- Coach local quality teams in design for quality and continuous improvement tools.
- Act as the key quality stakeholder for innovations, aligning R&D, operations, and senior management.
- Lead Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and risk mitigation for new product designs.
- Manage changes in existing products by identifying and resolving quality risks.
- Review and approve plant trial protocols, pilot plant samples, and zero production results.
- Provide final approval for trial reports and resolve any deviations in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Lead validation of new or modified R&D systems and processes.
- Promote a strong quality culture and continuous improvement mindset across innovation teams.
- Collaborate globally to share best practices and lessons learned in quality and change management.
What makes you a good fit
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Chemistry, Life Sciences, or related field.
- 8-12 years of relevant experience in quality, product development, or technical roles.
- Customer-oriented mindset with flexibility and open-mindedness.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and present across all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated strengths in planning, organizing, influencing, and stakeholder partnership.
- Valid driver’s license and passport for regional or global collaboration/travel.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in Power BI and digital tools a strong advantage
