Become an intern in a creative team with great ambitions and gain insight into what it is like to work with communication and marketing

BEN is looking for an intern with an interest in communication and marketing. It is a unique opportunity for you who are looking for a role where you will be challenged, have responsibility and gain insight into everyday life at one of Denmark’s fastest growing breweries. You will become a part of a team where you will discover what it is like to work with everything from sales, marketing, events, PR and design. You will be involved in both large and small projects and will have the opportunity to take ownership and develop your own tasks. In addition, the position will involve various ad hoc tasks, help with daily purchasing and lunch etc.

About BEN

BEN is a Danish microbrewery located in the center of Copenhagen. We opened in 2017 in Kolding and have since grown drastically with bars in Aarhus, Roskilde and Copenhagen.

In 2022 we opened our new brewery in Kdbyen, Copenhagen. In addition to the brewery, the location also consists of a permanent tank bar and a restaurant to be opened in where the guests will be seated between the fermentation tanks.

Creating experiences is an important part of BEN’s DNA, which is why we regularly host events and participate in collaborations across the industry. BEN consists of approximately 55 people across 3 beer bars and the office and brewery in Copenhagen. You will become part of BEN Office – a small team consisting of 10 passionate and dedicated people who are passionate about the work they do and to succeed together. We are busy and therefore it requires cross-functional collaboration and we help each other out when needed.

What will your work tasks include

The tasks will vary and you will have the opportunity to take ownership and develop your own tasks. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Internal communication via BEN’s employee app to strengthen internal cohesion and create transparency across all departments

• Social media marketing, including marketing strategy planning; channels, segmentation, campaigns etc.

• Text composition for newsletters and updates for website and other ad hoc text assignments

• Email marketing, including building email flow, optimization of webshop flow and building mailing lists

• Paid marketing

• Various ad hoc work, including research tasks, help with lunch, daily purchasing etc.

• Event coordination

About you

You are a person who thrives on dealing with several tasks at once and who is motivated by high ambitions. You see yourself as creative and curious to learn more within communication and marketing. It is not expected that you have previous work experience in this field, but you are on (or have just completed) a relevant education and want to improve your skills in this direction.

You are mastering the Danish language and are good at conveying messages. A large part of BEN’s communication takes place in English so it will be a clear strength that you are strong in English as well. You enjoy working independently and are not afraid to take the lead. You will be involved in a wide range of tasks and must therefore be open to help out where needed.

It is absolutely not an expectation that you have a great knowledge of beer – as long as you have the motivation and interest in immersing yourself in the industry so that you can represent BEN in the best possible way.

Practical Details and Application Deadline

• The position is unpaid based in Copenhagen at our office in Kdbyen

• Starting date is flexible, but as soon as possible

• Ideally the internship period extends over a minimum of 5-6 months, but this is not a requirement

• You will be working approx. 30 hours per week – work on the weekends occur
