Job description: Our client is an established, independent commodity trading and logistics firm that links farmers seeking their best marketing opportunities and end consumers seeking grain. They handle the day-to-day complexities of the trade and logistical challenges related to the sector enabling their suppliers/customers to focus on what they do best. They are looking to expand their existing footprint in the Riverina and have an exciting opportunity to join their team.The RoleReporting to and working closely with the Director, as a Commodity Trader you will be responsible for continuing to build their market presence within the Riverina. Leveraging their existing customer base, you will liaise with stakeholders including growers, brokers, storage networks, end users and logistic freight providers to accumulate, sell and execute grain contracts.You will also:

• Build relationships at farmgate level to assist with ongoing accumulation requirements.
• Further establish the business with Riverina growers and consumers and exceed expectations around customer service and efficiency.
• Manage and assist in all logistics duties, including documentation and scheduling.
• Regularly engage with local grain stakeholders to continue to build brand awareness.

The PersonTo be successful in this role you will have experience working at a farmgate level or in a similar commodity trading role. Ideally you will have suitable qualifications in the agribusiness or business sector, and have a passion for the agricultural industry. You will be a naturally outgoing person, with an attention to detail and highly self motivated.The ideal candidate will be located within the Riverina region, at or nearby to Wagga, Young or Griffith.
