MSE is the incubator for Marketing and Sales talents Purpose of the Business Coach (Expert Projects) is to be a rotational position (Alternating Onsite) that provides a combination of functional leadership for initiatives with the clusters of Marketing & Sales Excellence (MSE) in the North America region. This position is focused on achieving marketing and sales excellence in Evonik with state-of-the-art knowledge and skills to accelerate profitable growth globally, ensuring continuous development and implementation of concepts, tools and Guiding Standards. Secondarily, the position may support the department’s other clusters, including Commercial Excellence, Management Systems and Channel Management.
Responsibilities
Business Coach (Expert Projects) Marketing & Sales Excellence
- Work as in-house coach, project manager and leader in marketing and sales projects and activities which have an impact on Evonik’s business performance
- Support project work, coaching business implementation teams in tutorials, group meetings, workshops and on-the-job
- Working with Project Designer(s), define and structure projects/activities in alignment with steering committee(s) and business leadership
- Deliver content in workshops
- In conjunction with cluster personnel, operationally manage and coordinate resources of business during project/activity
- Co-own, maintain and further develop selected marketing & sales concepts and tools; promote and support implementation in the region
- Support, maintenance and population of information systems and databases pertaining to Expert Project activities
Other Cluster Support, including:
- Support, recruiting and potentially participation in the courses from Evonik’s Commercial Excellence cluster in the North American Region
- Support, implementation and data preparation for tools of the Management Systems and Channel Management clusters
- Support, maintenance and population of information systems and databases pertaining to other Evonik MSE activity
Other
- Participate in training & development, and ensure all trainings are current within MSE organization and Evonik North America
- Active participation in regional and departmental meetings and programs
- Internal communication and promotion to support implementation of other MSE programs
- Up to 25% travel required – Domestic and International
- Ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree – Marketing, chemistry, Computer Science, data science, information systems, statistics, communications, mathematics, engineering or related fields required.
- Have 3 to 8+ years of business experience with at least 3 years in marketing, sales, consulting, or other relevant area. Substantial external customer interaction is an asset.
- Have good problem-solving skills and show initiative (be able to think out-of-the-box).
- Strong, demonstrable (data) analytical skills. Knowledge of pricing and/or digital marketing concepts would be an asset.
- Be able to work under pressure and within different cultures.
- Be mobile, and willing to travel.
- Strong communication skills – speak and write English fluently; knowledge and understanding of other languages is a plus.
- Strong software capabilities, with strength particularly in the Microsoft Suite.
