It also means we can solve problems as soon as they arise, build trust, and get closer to our colleagues.As the Brand Marketing Manager for Marks & Spencer, you hold a pivotal role in driving the brand’s identity, values, and messaging to target audiences. You’re tasked with developing and executing innovative marketing strategies to amplify brand awareness, foster customer engagement, and boost sales.What you’ll doYour role will be to ensure all campaign and project deliverables (strategy, brief, creative development, execution, launch) deliver against the set objectives, on time and on budget.Your key accountabilities will include…

  • Support Head of Marketing to develop and execute comprehensive brand strategies and creative briefs that resonate deeply with target audiences and carve out Marks & Spencer’s distinct position in the competitive retail landscape. Work closely with the insights team to conduct thorough market research, consumer insights analysis, and competitor assessments to inform the strategic direction of various campaigns and activations.
  • Holistic Campaign Management: Lead the conceptualisation and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across diverse channels including in-store, digital platforms, social media, print, events, TV and VOD etc.
  • Lead, inform, motivate, and align project teams (including creative inhouse team, agencies or hybrid) to deliver on brief goals and create compelling campaign assets (including visual content, copywriting, and multimedia materials) and customer journeys that deeply resonate with target consumers, strengthening Marks & Spencer’s C&H brand identity.
  • Foster seamless collaboration with internal stakeholders spanning product development, sales, and retail operations to ensure campaign alignment with overarching business goals. Ensure the global campaign/project strategy is communicated to and implemented by the centralised International marketing team, enabling local partners to deliver with impact in their market.
  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Cultivate strategic partnerships and collaborations with talent and/or fellow brands to amplify Marks & Spencer’s brand reach and cultural relevance. Support in the negotiation of partnership agreements and adeptly manage relationships to extract maximum mutual benefits and brand exposure.
  • Robust Brand Performance Analysis: Rigorously track and analyse brand performance metrics via timely PIRs, encompassing brand awareness, sentiment, and perception, to gauge the efficacy of marketing activity. Deliver comprehensive reporting and actionable insights to internal stakeholders including senior management and agency partners, highlighting brand performance, prevailing trends, and growth opportunities.

Who you areThe ideal candidate will have extensive fashion multimedia brand marketing experience & already be working to Brand Marketing Manager level in the retail, fashion, or consumer goods domain. Exceptional collaboration and leadership skills are a must to ensure you bring all stakeholders on your journey whilst managing multiple campaign critical paths.Your skills and experience will include…

  • Working to Brand Marketing Manager level with experience leading large scale, complex and high budget multi-agency advertising campaigns is essential with experience of developing and executing both traditional TV / ATL and digital / social marketing campaign strategies
  • Track record of effective collaboration and partnership with advertising and media agencies as well as in-house creative teams
  • Exceptional communication, adept at articulating creative concepts and marketing strategies with conviction.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in orchestrating integrated marketing campaigns across diverse channels.
  • Strong analytical acumen, adept at leveraging marketing analytics to drive data-informed decisions, ability to understand the bigger picture.
  • Exemplary leadership skills; effectively manage multiple projects, quipped to foster cross-functional collaboration as well coach and develop team members on a day-day basis.
