AVP, Marketing Operations and Infrastructure Management

Your Impact: As the AVP, Marketing Operations and Infrastructure Management, you will lead the Marketing Services operations and production teams and its ongoing support for key internal and external stakeholders. Partnering with channel marketing and business teams, this role will be integral to leading our evolution toward digital- and data-driven operations and sales and marketing automation. 

The goal is to create a sustainable and ongoing marketing services environment that helps the entire marketing organization keep pace with increasing business and sales demands via turnkey go to market tools and operations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading Critical Marketing Initiatives: Take the lead in conceptualizing, planning, and executing critical marketing initiatives and delivery in collaboration with channel marketing leads and business stakeholders. Work to ease and accelerate marketing’s delivery through process, people and systems amongst increasing business and sales needs.
  • Marketing Technology and Tools: Evolve marketing systems and tools, beginning with Marketing on Demand (MOD) to build turnkey, automated and self-service methods of supporting business and sales needs. Use these systems and processes to innovate and implement strategies that set industry benchmarks and position Combined at the forefront of marketing excellence, enhance the sales experience, and contribute to sales gains.
  • Developing Cutting-Edge Automation Programs: Be the architect of groundbreaking automation programs for enrollment services, leveraging your desire to develop efficiencies. Lead strategic and tactical efforts in delivering innovative automation solutions. Oversee the implementation of automation solutions that not only streamline processes but also elevate both the sales and customer experience.
  • Strategic Collaboration with Vendors: Forge strong partnerships with vendors and agencies to ensure seamless collaboration, efficiency, and the achievement of strategic objectives. Monitor service level agreements (SLAs) rigorously and work collaboratively to exceed them, setting new standards for excellence with vendor relationships.
  • Complex Project Management: Demonstrate superior project management skills by overseeing complex projects from inception to completion. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, channel leads and external vendors to ensure flawless execution, meeting and exceeding project goals.
  • Production Projects: Collaborate closely with channel and business leads to provide strategic direction and support for production projects. Set the strategy to lower print costs while moving to a more streamlined and modern digital experience for sales and customers.
  • Metrics-Driven Monitoring and Reporting: Develop comprehensive reporting metrics and dashboards for real-time monitoring of project progress, milestone achievement, and outcomes. Utilize data-driven insights to continuously optimize and refine marketing strategies, ensuring maximum impact and ROI.
  • People Management: Leverage your experience to mentor and coach a team of five or more marketing professionals, contractors, and external agencies.

What We’re Looking For: To thrive in this role, you should bring:

  • A Bachelor’s degree with over 10 years of experience in marketing services, operations, and/or similar capacities. Marketing agency experience is a plus.
  • Experience with marketing automation and/or data-driven online marketing systems that create self-service sales environments.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and strategy skills, with a proven ability to develop and execute complex marketing projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in insurance or financial services is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills along with a forward-thinking, continuous improvement vision.
  • Comfortable with collaborating and seeking alignment across teams and departments.
  • Superior project management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
