Their focus spans five key functions: generating customer insights to develop strong value propositions, managing performance across channels, driving go-to-market strategies, and setting strategic direction in collaboration with Marketing, Service, Delivery, and other internal teams. Their mission is to build a seamless, high-impact experience for small business customers and deliver measurable results for OptusReporting to the Director, Segment Strategy and Performance, the Associate Director (AD), Business Solutions and Partnerships plays a meaningful role in crafting and delivering innovative offers and partnerships tailored for small businesses. This role blends customer insight, commercial competence, and creative thinking to develop compelling products and bundles grounded in real customer needs, while also identifying strategic partnerships that drive acquisition, retention, and customer loyaltyThe day to day
- Lead strategic ecosystem partnerships by identifying and encouraging collaborations with technology providers, platforms, and local business enablers to strengthen Optus’ position as the most supportive telco for small businesses.
- Champion innovation in business solutions, fostering a culture of creativity to craft and deliver offerings that simplify operations and drive success for small business customers.
- Design customer-centric experiences through insight-led, human-centred design practices, ensuring that every solution aligns with real small business needs and delivers meaningful impact.
- Develop high-value programs and bundles tailored to specific small business segments, aimed at enhancing relevance, improving satisfaction, and deepening customer relationships.
- Drive cross-functional alignment and delivery, collaborating with senior leaders and diverse teams across the business, using storytelling and influence to translate strategy into measurable action and outcomes
Why you are our next AD Business Solutions and Partnerships
- Extensive hands-on experience in proposition development, solution design, or commercial strategy, ideally within customer or segment-led roles in telecommunications, technology, or digital services.
- Strong understanding of small business needs and proven ability to translate insights into scalable solutions, programs, or partnerships that deliver tangible value.
- Commercially astute, with a proven track record in building business cases, interpreting performance metrics (e.g. NPS, revenue, conversion), and getting results in complex, fast-paced environments.
- Outstanding stakeholder and cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority and align diverse teams to deliver customer and business outcomes.
- Skilled in customer insight analysis and design thinking, with experience using digital and CX tools for journey mapping, proposition co-creation, and experience optimisation.
- Relevant professional qualifications in Business, Marketing, Strategy or a related field, with exposure to human-centred design and experience working with or supporting small businesses or startups
