The team’s focus spans segment insights, value proposition development, P&L performance, business sales channels, go-to-market strategy, and cross-functional alignment across the organisation.The Associate Director, Digital Performance plays a key leadership role within this team, reporting to the Director of Channel Performance, and is instrumental in delivering on Small Business sales targets while ensuring high satisfaction levels for customers, partners, and colleagues across the digital channel.The day to day

  • Own the end-to-end digital strategy for Small Business eCommerce across all funnel touchpoints, including marketing, engagement, technology, and digital channels.
  • Develop and embed a cohesive eCommerce strategy to drive growth in online sales and optimise revenue performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to build flawless and effective digital sales and research experiences for Small Business customers.
  • Own the Conversational Commerce strategy for Business, and influence the wider Webchat strategy across whole of Optus
  • Work closely with the technology teams to fully embrace new capabilities (eg AI) and drive ROI from these through Conversational Commerce channels
  • Develop new processes to inject Conversational Commerce experiences into the wider Digital ecosystem, to drive incremental leads and sales outcomes
  • Translate customer behaviour insights into compelling digital experiences that encourage conversion across Optus’ online platforms.
  • Act as a key connector between business units to ensure consistent and high-quality digital engagement and execution.
  • Drive achievement of key customer, sales, revenue, and satisfaction objectives across Small Business digital channels.

  • Proven experience in optimising digital sales flows, growing online channel performance, and using data-driven insights for forecasting and planning.
  • Deep understanding of customer behaviour and digital conversion strategies, with a focus on delivering seamless eCommerce experiences.
  • High levels of initiative, critical thinking, and adaptability to address competing priorities and drive digital innovation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively manage dependencies, set expectations, and empower teams to deliver results.
  • Dedicated approach emphasising continuous improvement, operational planning, and accountability for achieving sales and customer outcomes
