Overview

Humanscale, the leading global ergonomic product design and manufacturing company headquartered in New York City, is seeking a Marketing Manager in APAC to become a member of the International marketing team reporting to the Brand Director (who is located in the UK). The role will be responsible for help to plan and implementing the company’s marketing strategy designed to increase product sales, brand exposure and market share, across our key channels of Commercial, Retail distribution and DTC eCommerce, thereby B2B and B2C experience is crucial.

Candidates should be mature, positive and work well independently, as well as within a team environment. This is an important role in driving strategic planning, overseeing team workstreams through project managing, and leading a positive marketing team environment, by setting an example for the pace and quality of work that is expected. Candidates should be a driving force for the continual evolution of the Humanscale brand in key countries across the APAC region, these include China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia & India

Responsibilities

Planning

Marketing Strategy: Work closely with key stakeholders, such as Country Sales teams & Marketing functions such as Marketing Ops, Showroom experience, Digital Services and Art Department, to determine business objectives and strategy for delivery. Develop a comprehensive APAC marketing strategy aligned to the overall business strategy and lead the implementation through brand and customer initiatives. This will require an innovative approach and ability to leverage budget spend effectively to maximise ROI and generate a step change in brand and customer initiatives.

Market Insight: Enable market, channel, customer and consumer insight to predict or anticipate and guide marketing activity in the pursuit of driving sales growth. Ensure the effectiveness of activities are regularly reviewed and optimised, where appropriate.

Execution

Content creation & implementation: Work across all key & relevant communication channels to design exciting and relevant content that helps to create cut through & impact in APAC. Help to organise design of key marketing collateral including print and digital graphic materials such as sales brochures, catalogues, presentations, email journeys + newsletters, web pages, customer/partner programs, advertisements and and social campaigns. Consistently conceive how to present the brand & product in new and compelling ways across media touchpoints. Brand Guardian, ensure global brand guidelines are adhered to by internal stakeholders and external customers.

Marketing Communications: Work closely with key stakeholders (inc. internal marketing functions) to deliver key & pertinent messages to the relevant audiences. Plan, develop, manage and execute key marketing communications, ensuring high quality, value for money results, in line with deadlines, budgets and brand guidelines. Be accountable & responsible for growing the customer newsletter database across key countries (first party data)

Relationship Management

Stakeholder Management: Stakeholder management across the wider Humanscale global & international business is essential in ensuring a share of voice for the key APAC markets. Critical relationships include Head Office based Brand and Product Marketing (inc. Marketing Ops, Showroom experience, Digital Services and Art Department), external agencies & vendors (inc. PR) and peers from other key international markets.

Organisational Engagement: Ensure Marketing has a positive influence across all business functions to align employees behind the organisational goals and the customer experience at all touch points including customer services and finance.

Local Regional Support: Support the launch of product in APAC, liaising with regional and local sales and HQ in order to develop plans, including staff and customer training, brochure and collateral creation, POS support for customers’ showrooms, and Social. Manage marketing merchandise stock levels, for sales and customer requirements

Leadership and influencing skills: Drive the strategy of the organisation. Key to this role is the ability to inspire, motivate and persuade internal and external stakeholers, this includes external agencies and vendor partners. Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills are key traits.

Change Management Skills: Particularly skillful in leading culture shifts in moving towards a ‘marketing led, sales driven’ culture.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with ease
  • Track record in delivering successful B2B & B2C campaigns and initiatives
  • Excellent project management skills, well organised and able to work to tight deadlines and small budgets
  • Proven ability in working within a Pan-regional (APAC) business with experience of influencing Global Sales & Marketing initiatives
  • 8-10 years’ experience with a global brand(s) in a corporate or retail design environment, ad agency or design firm.
  • 3-5 years’ experience managing a team and vendors
  • Ideally educated to Degree level with a relevant business or marketing qualification
