Job description: The RolePret has become the nation’s favorite for freshly made food and organic coffee and is now a high street staple in the UK.We have an ambitious 5-year growth plan, and with Pret’s evolved business strategy of taking “Pret to the People”, marketing in the UK has become more pivotal to success than ever.This role reports into the UK Shops & Local Marketing Manager, and is a broad marketing and comms role with responsibilities stretching across shops, packaging, digital and PR to deliver impactful brand and marketing activations for Pret.With an extensive new shops roadmap for 2025 and beyond, this role will be central to the marketing planning and success for these openings, as well as delivering sustained growth from a new customer base through food and coffee sales, Club Pret and Pret Perks acquisition, and establishment of the Pret brand in new areas around the UK.The breadth of this role means internal and external relationships are key to success, with projects spanning UK Marketing, Commercial, Property and Operations, alongside Creative and Digital teams and our external Franchise and Roadside partners.In the Pret Marketing team, no two days are the same, and with a brand famous for thinking differently, proactivity and creativity are central to the team alongside an eye for detail, excellent cross-functional relationships and a passion for food, coffee and the values at the core of our business.Responsibilities
- Support the Shops & Local Marketing Manager in delivering all POS aspects of NPD launches, NSO plans, recruitment and ad-hoc calendar events seamlessly into shops, managing Ops, Shops and Property questions or challenges in a timely manner
- Take day to day responsibility for the artwork sign-off process both internally at Pret from relevant stakeholders
- Manage NSO pipeline with key contacts in the Property team to deliver best in class opening plans and sustained support for new shops
- Managing the print, production, and delivery of all POS material in tandem with our printing partner
- Manage content catalogue of digital assets and POS artwork
- Support the Shops & Local Marketing Manager in working with Data and Analytics teams to help showcase success, share learning and optimise plans based on established KPIs across all projects
- Establish impeccable relationships internally at Pret, with key agency partners and with Franchise Marketing team, and wider UK Marketing, to share successes and learnings
- Ownership of comms to Ops and Shops for all new Marketing campaigns and materials to ensure seamless and perfect execution, managing feedback and questions to ensure simplicity for shops
- Briefing Creative team (UK and Global) on new materials, ensuring timelines are managed across numerous projects without sacrificing quality
- Support on larger concept shoots as well as concepting and managing your own projects e.g. local content, NSO shoots, recruitment, ad-hoc / reactive ideas
- Support on NSO PR requests, managing sensitive and often confidential information
- Support with ad-hoc PR requests and shoots as required
- Support activating local marketing plans
- Support shops that request bespoke marketing materials
- Manage Helpdesk on the behalf of UK Marketing
- Attend customer activation events and support shop teams with creating memorable experiences for customers
- To ensure that all ‘library stocks’ (open/close signs, GM Free stickers, plastic clips etc) are ordered in the right quantities at the right time and to alert wider UK Marketing team to potential problems e.g. overstocks / under stocks
Skills and experience
- Experience in marketing and communications, with a grasp of the full marketing mix (agency or in-house)
- A self-starter attitude that’s comfortable with change and adaptation of plans, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
